Not sure why you say so. Personally I feel Elsword is a much better game then GC (to be fair to GC, it was built off of it) but neither game is bad. They both have their benefits I just simply feel Elsword for me was much more satisfying.

News wise, honestly I feel makes little difference to most. I think a lot of people would prefer NO launcher over anything.

Well not sure how Elseword is built economically however I can almost guarantee that even if it doesn't have these elements in it now, it will definitely have pay to win and pay to progress elements in it soon after it is changed by PWE.

Elsword technically already has all the typical pay-to-win elements in it, like cash shop items for upgrading equipment, rare mounts from boxes, and costumes with stats (especially rare costumes from random boxes with upgraded stats).  The difference compared to other P2W games isn't the monetization and business model but with the gameplay itself and meaningfulness/power of stats within the game.  Mainly, the fact that it's so skill-based means playing skill make a much MUCH bigger difference.  To completely change Elsword into a pay-to-win variant of so many other P2W games would require completely rewriting a lot of aspects of the game itself, not just the business side of things and the cash shop.  I don't expect PW (or any company) to be willing to put that effort into such a revamp because at that point you might as well just make a new game (and getting whales into a new game is a lot easier than getting them into an old old old oooooold game).

Uck. What a wonderful morning. To think only a few hours ago I was dreaming I had a few hundred dollars to spare.

Now my entire family is in the hospital being treated for a horrible virus and Elsword is being taken over by one of the absolute worst MMORPG gaming websites I have ever known.

To think I was planning to come back...
