Ori and the Blind forest just released. I was expecting a cute 2d puzzle platformer from Microsoft Studios but got way more! The visuals arts, orchestra soundtrack and gameplay made it fun to play thru the story and can be emotional at times. It reminded me of Legend of Zelda.
Playing now: Cities: Skyline / Ori and the Blind Forest / Banished

I'll agree the game looks very nice. Too bad nobody can get thru the game without it crashing on their Xbone-One. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I think Trine2 is one of the most visually appealing games I have ever played.
As a note, I thought this was a console exclusive so thanks for the steam link. I'll definetly be giving it a go. I wonder how friendly keyboard controls are
You stay sassy!
The most beautiful 2D game ever made.
That's beautiful.
I think Homeworld: Cataclysm is the most beautiful game I've played, or was, it's graphics are aged now.
Fully agree as a complete package a beautiful game.
These type of games often suprise me.
I also would like to suggest Brothers A tale of two sons
I think once they get the framerate optimized, Subnautica is going to be like having a (alien) coral reef in your PC:

This game is very pretty but beauty is in the eye of beholder. I think Trine and Trine 2 are actually prettier games and in many ways better than this one.
However I'm still all in for even close to same quality experiences so I'l probably grab it when it goes to sale in steam. I'd buy it for full price if it was for PS4 (because I want content like this for my only console).
Game is pretty but I refuse to support any game developer out there that makes games that I played 20 years ago only with better graphics (talking about games like Metal Slug)
This is the problem us gamers are facing. Developers are giving us cheap games and they will continue as long as we spend our $ on them. They are easy to make and they will continue to use their time and make these type of games rather than more complex projects until the well gets dry.
I want to see bigger teams working on bigger projects, rather than hundreds of games out there that I've skipped over the last 4 years and 2 months.
yep, that game is simply amazing and stunning.
played it last nite, just wanted to check it out fo some mins, went to sleep at like 7 AM.
"I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!"
I'd argue that The Banner Saga is the most beautiful game ever created. The animation is so smooth and the world feels so distinct.
It's largely because 2D experiences thrive on unique art styles nowadays while 3D games are usually pursuing ultra-realism.
Got milk?
I would also highly recommend checking this indie 2D Sci-Fi RPG "Transistor". Now 66% off on Steam.

Also some of the best music.
I will second you on that Reklaw. "Brothers" was an amazing game that had just the right amount of difficulty for me. And the story was perfectly done as well. Heartily recommended, although you will finish it relatively quickly. That is not a drawback in my book though.
I love the look of this as well. I just wonder if the difficulty is scalable. The problem with these games, if the difficulty is set too high, they become more frustrating and less fun. Of course that varies for different people, hence why I think all these games should have this feature.
FFA Nonconsentual Full Loot PvP ...You know you want it!!
