Looking for new mmorpg with grind and pvp. F2P, P2P, B2P whatever

Hello all,
I need some help from you guys and gals. I bought a new gaming laptop yesterday, and I would like an mmorpg to play. I haven't played any mmo's in a few years due to school and not having a capable pc. I am not a fan of WoW or the WoW clones out there, mostly because I prefer to grind for levels instead of running from quest to quest. I would also like the game to have end game large scale pvp, such as RVR.
My favorite mmorpg was Knight Online because of the grind and the open world RVR pvp. Unfortunately knight online isn't the game it once was anymore and all of the private servers I have found appear to die out within a month.
From the videos I have seen of Dark Age of Camelot, I like the pvp style but the graphics are terrible.
I don't mind paying up front or monthly.
Anybody have suggestions for me? Games that are already out or upcoming are welcomed.

You clearly have a good idea of whats happened to most the games we used to play. Regardless of what people may suggest for you remember that unless they are fairly new they won't be challenging but more mind destroying. Chat is probably the most important part so games your friends play would be best. Any game with items openly tradeable bring about a fraud network and if sold online also fund world extremists aswell. The best games to be in control of are the ones where all your items and weps etc are saved to disk along with your progress and it can't be changed just after you spent ages to get that far.
