Bandai-Namco has announced that the Scholar of the First Sin remaster for Dark Souls II will be released in the EU on April 2nd, nearly a week earlier than anticipated. The first part of the deployment has been released in the form of a new patch that brings the Scholar NPC into the game as well as item descriptions, online matchmaking improvements and other gameplay tweaks.

Check out the video below to see how the remastering of graphics has advanced and then head to the Dark Souls II UK site to find out more.

nice to see they are re-releasing it on the new consoles running at 60FPS, that means i can safely wait for a Bloodborne re-release at 60FPS as well. Ill be Playing DS2 again on PS4 until they do the same to BLoodborne.

re-release of bloodborne? doubt it's gonna happen this generation or probably ever, unless you mean with normal updates and stuff.

In shocking news mmorpg.com closed down today. Some questioned why the site hadn't broadened its remit. Die hards were unmoved and would have said so - if they actually had a site on which to express an opinion.

unfortunately you might be right. I totally forgot its SONY publishing that game. If anything, they would remaster Demon Souls first for next(current) gen. Oh well..... I can only dream, i guess.

its not an MMO but its an RPG.

Anything that has MMO or RPG elements fits in this website. If only the MMO partof the name counts then start removing every mmoRPG from the site. Or, you know, just be happy that the games you want get covered and you can totally ignore the ones you dont like.

    ;)
