I don't know, but I'd be shocked if you don't see chests and spots on the floor highlighted in red as you go about your journeys.
Agree with your impressions. Visuals are the first thing that disappointed me when I got into the backer beta. Sure, they're nice enough, create sufficient atmosphere, and evoke memories of the RPGs to which Pillars pays homage.
But, having played a lot of Divinity: Original Sin as well, it's hard to move from D:OS to Pillars and not notice the significant drop in graphical appeal.
It doesn't make Pillars any less great. It's a wonderful CRPG from what I've seen so far and will earn its place among its esteemed forebears. I just wish Obsidian had made it more stunning to look at.
When you stealth the party stealths with you and yes there are traps and hidden things if I remember correctly.
Yes, and they are highlighted in red You don't need a thief though, you can spec any character to do this if you want. In my last playthrough my ranger had high stealth and mechanics skills for this purpose.
so no co-op - pity
made Icewind Dale so enjoyable for me
and....proofreading is fundamental - do some
I have not watched the stream but I would double check what difficulty level streamer have choosen.
Because difficulty setting 'normal' is usually equivalent of 'easy' in games released in last 10 years. You would propably want to pick higher diff level.
