Bluedagger i'm sorry if i had some grammatical issues, i really could give a rats ass about how messed up my sentences are. And another thing, i love how when you quoted everything i said you left out the sentences around it, so nobody understands the complete train of thought. Anyways im not even going to argue with you on this topic, we get it, you don't like the game. We have all heard your opinions so are you ever gonna let it go? Or do you have nothing to do with your life but hang around forums bashing everything you don't like? here to save you the time let me tell everyone what your response is going to be...

Well you know what Bluedagger, boooooooooooooo freaaaaakin hoooooooooooo.
It lacks the basic features that even most low budget MMOs have. It doesn't even do anything new, or improve on anything! But if for some crazy reason you enjoy killing tons of the same mob with auto attack for hours and PVP that is just like WoW's pvp, then this is the game for you.
I dont know how many MMORPGS you have played but most (not all) have you doing pointless quests and killing monsters 2 billion times just to get to the end game PVP, so what makes this one any worse. Really i think its a great game and i have to say that its PVP is alot better than WOWs.
Just want to know one thing, are you mainly a WOW player ?
Garrik
No, I quit WoW a long time ago, still doesn't make it worse than RFO. The PvP is better? It's just the same as WoWs with even less tactics. WoW has many different mob types with different powers, weaknesses and strengths. Every mob in RFO feels like an upgraded version of the last mob you were grinding on with a different model or worse just a different skin. PvP in RFO feels just like its PvE: slow, repetitive, and in the end, pointless.

To this one, I do make an appology. I checked his info after reading this and he was from singapore, so yeah I screwed up on that one. From the way he was writing it made him sound like a 13 boy, whos best come back is "dude your gay". I have respect for anyone that knows two languages.
what is it about RFO that you like so much ? The neg posters are specific so can you help explasin the other side of the coin ?
Originally posted by Apocallypse I totally agree with Gameloading, its seriously time for people like bluedagger and everyone else who bashes this game to go screw off. If you don't like this game play something, i love this game and so do many others. The reason these forums are posted with mostly bashing is cuz everyone who likes the game is too busy playing it. And whoever the hell said "maybe we are just trying to prevent other people from wasitn money on a game" (i forgot who it was) who are you to decide that? People can only know if they like this game by finding out themselves, not by hearing other peoples OPINIONS. If you want to prevent someone from playing it why don't you mention how many people are loving the game? Or mention that its your opinion, and you know plenty of people who like it. Next time you bash a game cuz u want to "prevent" others from waisting there time or money, tell them its your opinion and give them logical reasons for why u disliked the game. Don't just say "duh... it is a grindfest has no good pvp is boring and isn't any fun". Thats not a reason, thats your opinion, you can't decide for another person if its fun or not. So lay off bashing this game and if you want to "prevent" someone from playing this game give them logical reasons not your freakin opinions.
what is it that you like about this game over all others ?

seeing your constant referenz making to WoW i start to wonder ....
was WoW maybe to complicated for you ?
I think it must have been !!!
Lets just a couple of very simplistic examples. In wow you have to be higher than level 0 to get to an area where you would meet members of the opposite faction.
In wow you have several means of transport
In wow the skills and talents of every single main character type are more diverse and intricate than is the case in RFO
in wow you cant get rich by simply afk mining all night
in wow there are true pvp and pve differences in the way you are required to play each class of character and indeed differently talent specced characters of the same class - in rfo it matters not what class you are, you pot spam.
..... ..... ......
id be here all night ! Oh and yes i have played korean mmog and plenty of others before you ask.
Thank you Thunderballs for keeping things in clean cut and being constructive in a manner to where only adult responses are prompted rather then personal attacks. As another of the "RFO bashers" I also ask, what are the key points taht are good about the game? If you are angry about the bad sides of the game that are being brought up thatn list some of the good points, but don't expect not to get counter points.
*goes back to doing online classes* god I hate Physics lol
Ok Bluedagger, Thunderballs, i'll tell you my reasons for liking this game. And by the way im sure there are others who could add to this list:
A) Great Graphics Very little lag (even when large amount of people gather'd in one area C) The PvP is the best i've come across, and for those of u say theres no strategy invovled and just potion spamming, give the game a chance. Of course its going to be potion spamming at this point because there is no organization and very VERY few people with enough experiences to lead a group. There are bearly anyone on any of the servers who are lvl 40+ and have actually been able to see the endgame. Anyways back on topic. D) If anyone has taken the time to look at the korean websites or servers who have been out for over a year now, you can see what direction this game is going. Things such as clans breaking away from races and being able to fight for there own territory, having your own planets, and a level cap of 250. E) I like the idea of players being ranked and that people with higher levels and ranks will be able to control and lead other members of their race into a battle. F) I like the every 8 hour fights because it keeps the game interesting and gives you motivation to pvp.
If anyone else would like to add anything please go ahead
nttajira you can't judge this game at all considering we are in beta and no one has yet to even reach level 50, so how do you know anything about what this game is 95% of or not? Lack of detail in world? how much of this world have you seen cuz i doubt its much. All place look bad and ugly? Even the people bashing (or giving their intelligent opinions in bluedagger's case) this game give it credit for graphics. Your probably a level 5 ranger that hasn't even seen anything of this game, just what you've heard from others talking.
Instead of getting mad at the people who do not like this game and bring new valid arguments to discuss, why do we not all hate the people who ignore facts and say this game is good no matter what the reality is.
The best way to get back at the people who say a game is bad, when you think it is good, is to counter their arguments with facts. You cannot just say, "no you are wrong! The graphics are sweet and the PvP is good". Start giving real arguments, like comparisons to other games and such. Or you could always just shut up.....

It may not be much, but I for one thank you for bring very valid points to the table.
A) Agreed Agree, but at the sacrifice of custimization, so nothing speical was done for that.
C) Could be true but how long should a player really have to wait to play what well what is supposed to be the key feature of the game
D) I can't read other languages lol. If what you say is true taht would be great, but who knows how long it will take CM to bring it here.
E) Disagree, in my experiance people that are ranked the highest are jsut that way due to # of kills, and # of kill doesn't mean you have leadership skills
Nttajira im not even going to take the time to respond to your immature comments that are based 90% on opinions and rumors. Bluedagger in response to what you said about E) The way to earn CP is by killing other people from other races, to get a higher rank you have to get alot of kills and very little deaths, so yes in a way it is # of deaths. But obviously the person who is top ranked and has tons of CP means they must have a very high level well equiped character and been playing a long time to get so many kills and dieing so little. Thus they must have alot of experience, with alot of experience usually ='s good leadership skills. And if not then they will probably not try to lead anyone at all which is their choice. And if they do try to and fail then their CP will go down therefore ensuring that the top ranked people are experienced and can direct people in the right direction towards victory. As for F) It might become repettitive (of course pvp usually doesn't considering each battle has different circumstances and situations throughout the fight) But again you have a chance to make more money through mining if you win which will allow you to make more progress through game while having a good time,
Eh, still disagree with the leardship thing because A) High lvl gankers can grind kills off lowbies in sette desert gaining CP Killshot rule still applies in PvP so the kill counts aren't always acurate. The leadership system would be better if it had something to do with high CP Guild Leaders and they have to have leadership skills to keep drama low and people together.
In reguard to the PvP if one race consantly wins CW would the boost to their income spawn more lvling faster through potions becomming affordable, making them more likely to win CW more, and eventually being off balance?
Well guys i guess we'll just have to wait and see how this game turns out, in my opinion it has a bright future and is a great game, but only time will tell.
There is a lot of detail in the armor, weapons and characters. The environment has some good and bad spots. It is really cool to see spaceships constantly flying above you though. If you are doubting this, zoom in on your character. Sometimes it is hard to see the detail when......they are about an inch tall on your screen.
And BlueDagger said something along the lines of, "How long should people have to wait to get to the meat of the game (PvP)." Well in response, it took me less than a week of casual playing to reach level 25, when PvP begins. So I am ok with the idea that it takes you one week to get the funnest part of the game.
In FFXI, the funnest part of the game for me was Sky, I can garuntee you that it took a lot longer than one-week to get there, but I'm sure glad I didn't stop after that first week.
Someone else said you spam two-skills to get to level 30. This is inaccurate. Even as a ranger, you get three skills, warriors get 6, and spiritualists get multiple force spells (at least 10). And then at level 28 (as a warrior) I have access to the original 6 skills plus 6 more. And then at 30 you get a job change which narrows you down a more customizable path, and you get two very unique and strong class specific skills.
So at level 30, I have 14 skills I actively use, as well as 3 Dark Force spells I use, and 1 Earth debuff. A total of 18 skills at level 30, and that is about two weeks into the game. Now the game is slowing down, and I am grinding up my PTs. But for those that say there are a lack of skills...just get to 30, and it changes dramatically.

Problem is that if you dont see the detail at lev 30 how many people are going to stay the distance ? If you dont have many players subscribibng regularly the game will simply become a small club for a small number of players.
You need detail and interest from the moment you log in and create your char.

As a warrior u get 3 buffs and 3 mele skills - 1 of which cant at the same time/with the same mele weapon so unless you can onlyy use 2 skills at once up to level 30. You get 3 buffs which you need to reapply every minute or two constantly.
If you want to train ranged skills you get some skils for them, but you use ranged skills at the expense of mele skills and not at the same time. If you spend time levelling ranged skills your mele skills will not develop turning you into neither a true mele warrior nor a ranger - but hey you can look good with a launcher/gun/bow !!!!
There is no point having multiple skills if a player that hasnt bothered developing theirs can simply pot spam and escape the damage you can do to them after you have spent hours levelling those skills.
yes it is different for casters and rangers but you cant escape the fact that it takes a long long long time to develop a skill combination and doing so is more for personal interest (if you can call it that) than it is for actual ingame benefit and particularly pvp benefit (becasue of the pot spamming ability)

Second, this game has been in "phase" beta for nearly a month now and not a single issue has truely been addressed, except faulty text game wide that should have been fixed before beta even was released. Third, with a game with as much content as WoW I would hope there is bugs in the beta, but the number of bugs in RF Online 7 days before release with no content because it's a Korean MMO (which btw has been release for over a year now) should not have this many. Lastly, as your last sentence is nearly impossible to understand I'm guessing that your making some kind of gay joke, which with your level of posting doesn't surprise me, so let me speak a language you understand STFU noobPeople like Bluedagger are an assest to the gaming community. They speak the truth and give us all fair warning. RF online good or not is going to have people fighting both sides, and since these forums are for everyone to share their opinions its only fair to hear both arguments. Why do you want the critics silenced? You gotta take the good with the bad, grow up, and stop acting like a baby.
Reaction is a response from the stimuli...therefore he's hurt about what bluedagger said. why hurt? because bluedagger has proved his claim to be valid. If you really love this game, defend it equally. eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. You (SHW2000) have just showed signs of immaturity on how u reply on the topic.
"It's definitely better to be lazy than being tired of doing all the chores!"
I have to agree. If you people want to refute the claims that Bluedagger (or me to a lesser extent) have made, then do so by competently arguing your claims. Personal attacks accomplish nothing. Secondly, though I'm late in adding my 2 cents to this thread, my main reason for posting on the forums is the same as most everyone else who posts: I want my opinions to be heard and I try to make them as valid and logical as possible.
I can see complaining about people who come on and say nothing buy "this game is G4Y" and such, but you can't complain about people who post statng their reasons for disliking the game. I wouldn't come on any posts you make about liking the game and begin to bash you or say that your opinions are any less valid than mine. The forums are for open exchange about opinions on these games and their current state. My personal opinion happens to be that the game lacks in quality in many avenues and is therefor a waste of good hard-earned money. But if you don't feel that way or don't believe me, try the beta for yourself and buy the game if that makes you feel better.
A smart reader will take in all the information and make the best decision for themselves.

I used the term "skills" to refer to anything that you apply to yourself. So yes, if you want to narrow it down to weapon skills that you can use Pre-28, with the same weapon, then it is 2. But if one was to say ,"Before you get to 28, you only have two skills to use." It sounds like you don't have buffs, or anything else. And buffs are a huge part of the game.
Anyway, at 32, I feel there is no lack of diversity among skills and buffs. By the time you get to 40, you have 3 more skills and 3 more buffs. So once you take the time to get to the higher levels, it pays off. It is not a lack of content, but that it takes you hard work to reap the rewards, which I think is exactly how it should be.
And when are people going to realize that PvP in this game is not based off of 1 vs 1. Honestly, so many people are complaining about this, but it is part of the game structure, it was intended this way. And IMO, it makes CHip Wars even more fun, because the coordinated group does well. And there is a "team" aspect that comes into play, since you rely on your teamates so much.
Iv noticed that BlueDagger has been dragged into many of these posts for no reason, if you read the thread that i am posting below you will see that he has changed some of his views on RF.
This may come as a strange surpirse comming from my mouth, but the game has potential. After doing a lot of research (and having a few korean sites translated) the game has a lot in it's future, but the key is how long will it take to get to us. Aome of the ideas that are being tossed around and implimented by the devs (CCR) are really quite intellegent. Also, through constructive critisism and hearing other peoples view points I have learned a bit of a different perspective on the game, though I still stand by it need some serious work.
The key things is that CM has stepped up as of late to open communication lines about issues and giving feedback, which to me personally builds a lot of loyalty. As for my post eariler about issues with the game: they still stand, but it looks liek they are being addressed one by one.
Try the game, that is all I can say. Either you love it or you hate it, but everyone has their own opinion.
-BlueDagger
There you go, im sure many of you will be shocked to find that he infact thinks that the game has alot of potential. He has also been kind enough to list some of the things that RF is going to have added to it if you read his next reply in that thread, so cut the guy some slack.
Thanks alot
Garrik

C) Could be true but how long should a player really have to wait to play what well what is supposed to be the key feature of the game
D) I can't read other languages lol. If what you say is true taht would be great, but who knows how long it will take CM to bring it here.
E) Disagree, in my experiance people that are ranked the highest are jsut that way due to # of kills, and # of kill doesn't mean you have leadership skills
F) Disagree, it will get repetitive

In reguard to the PvP if one race consantly wins CW would the boost to their income spawn more lvling faster through potions becomming affordable, making them more likely to win CW more, and eventually being off balance?

i still dont see the "graphics are good/nice/awesome" part of rf online ... imo graphics are mediocre at best lol. There are no details or anything.
maybe it just me tho ...

I disagree there is plenty of detail on the walls in the HQs (not that you can interact with it) it is just there is very little outside where you spend most of your time levelling (sorry pvping)

thats what i mean , the landscape is very poorly designed and with very few deails .

There you go, im sure many of you will be shocked to find that he infact thinks that the game has alot of potential. He has also been kind enough to list some of the things that RF is going to have added to it if you read his next reply in that thread, so cut the guy some slack.
Thanks alot
Garrik

This game is shittier then a japanese scat video. Let the 9 year old narutards have their game and make yet another Shinigami Deathgod_001 character so they can pretend they are asian by playing a game made in Korea.
why post at all I don't know, it feels good to let it all out sometimes, all this pent up anger caused by life
