I remember I used to make and hand out cookies to random people in AC1. They were completely worthless, but they were so cute! Yeah, I said cute. What's up?
You can actually get quite drunk, and have trouble speaking, and walking a straight line. The only real purpose it serves is to annoy people around you with the server constantly updating them on how drunk you appear. Unless they took that out recently.
When people will pay others to play a game for them it might be a sign the game isn't all that fun.
Its just something to do while you are standing around in IF or Org, just like 90% of the community does.
"There's no star system Slave I can't reach, and there's no planet I can't find. There's nowhere in the Galaxy for you to run. Might as well give up now." Boba Fett
I remember in the end of the WoW Open Beta, I had a guildie get naked selling most of his equipment for alcohol. After which he proceeded to duel equally naked intoxicated guildies while drunk, with a fishing rod. So you see, alcohol has it's purposes in WoW.
anyways it's pretty when you're drunk in WoW to see if you can walk over the bridges in ThunderBluff... I think there a couple of marks after me... but dunno
Just like anything else in the game, READ the discription of it. YES, some alcohol raises stats, stam and spirit. Most however do not. Drinking in the game is just like real life, why bother? You can make an ass of yourself without it just fine and for alot less money.

Drinking alcohol playing WoW? I don't know how anyone enjoys it, otherwise!
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
