Again remember , you do not have to buy this, it will be ingame for purchase. Once game world goes online (2017?). Basic ship is all you need to start..... see website for info.

Ah, the old Bulldog twin engine fighter, renamed to Vanguard. A player crowdfunding stretch goal fighter design.

Give CIG enough time and all those promised stretch goals are being added one by one.

    Have fun

I've always wondered, how much do shills make? Does the company provide you with a benefits package for constantly promoting their product? Free coffee and biscuits, perhaps? Maybe even a chair with your own name on it?

You're the internet equivalent of a rock band groupie.

Why does a deep space fighter need wings?

    There is NO miracle patch.

95% of what you see in beta won't change by launch.

    Hope is not a stategy.

Imo it looks like something they rehashed from Robotech, lol.

Seriously that's a lot to plunk down for a ship in a game that is hyped as being about "skill."  Then again, I guess most MMOs are. ^

Silly rabbit. Star Citizen doesn't need shills. The fans, like myself, are stalwart in defending it from misinformation.

    >>> Why does a deep space fighter need wings? >>>

From an engineering point of view ... wings not only have a good lift ratio and help in atmospheric flight, they are also quite useful as radiators to shed extra heat. Getting rid of heat of high performance equipment in vacuum is no small feat. Large, but thin sheets of material usually make quite good radiator panes.  Construct them right and you have a thin cross-section for electromagnetic waves (except the infrared/heat part) from most angles except straight up.  Space Shuttles did not only open their bay doors for releasing satellites and astronaut EVAs ... they also had their radiator panes on the inside of the bay doors. Space shuttles could not use their wing surfaces as radiators as they were already covered with porous heatshield material.

    PS:

Damn you, CIG ... still no biscuits !  RATS !

Maybe at some point you will understand, that in a crowdfunding campaign potentially every backer is a promotor. If we do not believe in an idea in the first place, we would not have supported the crowdfunding campaign. No need for a company to hand out benefit packages or things like that. They make what WE want - thats much more important.

Oh look, another ship that does not exist, for a game that does not exist in coherent form, for the price of a "lifetime sub" to other games, from a company that has already taken in $70 mil in crowd funding, and yet keep asking for more, to fulfill the promises they have already made, to raise money they have already spent.

Pardon me if I don't jump right on that.

No, not alone at all, the amount of ships for sale for this game, seem to occur with a disturbing regularity, i really hope they are doing more than just creating stuff to sell image

What misinformation are you speaking of?

I have yet to see any misinformation being discussed, in fact every complaint I've seen has been related to these FACTS:

    (a) Not much of a game at all yet.

    (b) Ships being sold for real world money prior to the game being completed.

The arguments used by rabid fanboys like yourself to try and defend the company in regard to the above two FACTS are often shallower than the birdbath in my front yard.

Clearly the game does need shills, if it didn't then there would be no reason for you and Erillion The White Knight to be posting here. If it was able to stand upon it's own merits, it wouldn't require defense from anyone, because the quality of the product would speak for itself.

I understand exactly how crowdfunding functions, and no, backers are not promoters.

Have you heard the old expression "A sucker is born every minute"? I suggest you take note.

Who is this "we" you speak of? You only speak for yourself, and have no bearing on the opinions of anyone else, backer or non backer alike. You have no way of knowing what the next man does or does not want.

You're the worst type of internet white knight and you're so blind with fanboyism that you can't even see it.

    Have fun.

That is one good looking ship. And the stats make it look fairly tank-y. A lot of attitude in that and some seriously sharp design...

That bling and spaceship XXX ofc comes at the price of my computer not even remotely being able to play it (tried it out during the PAXEast promotion)

So if i was to bite.. the money would have to go in to upgrading the computer.

This have been a good conversation

Can't say I like that ship at all, it's seems totally over-engineered for my liking. Reminds me of a Decepticon plane from Transformers :)

I do wish CIG would focus on cheaper ships for people to buy, ie nothing above $100 or so could be bought but only be earned in game.

    >>> I understand exactly how crowdfunding functions, and no, backers are not promoters. >>>

Well, if you understand it "exactly", you may want to reread the definition of crowdfunding.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowdfunding

---> "The inputs of the individuals in the crowd trigger the crowdfunding process and influence the ultimate value of the offerings or outcomes of the process. Each individual acts as an agent of the offering, selecting and promoting the projects in which they believe."

Well i like this ship with wings as it can operate in atmospheric conditions.

However i have already dropped ....$500 ... into this game and that's it for me... for Pixels !  Some other quacks can take it from here because i am all out of qackeroos for this game!

Now i wait for Chris to deliver on his commitments and pray i have not made myself look like a Flat TiT .... !
