Is this for real?
Because it is a poorly thought out and worded survey.

what a laughable survey, i encourage everyone to take a look at it, it epitomises everything that is bad about these so called social justice warriors, some of whom are still, despite all the evidence that proves that there is no causal link between video games and violent behaviour, determined to try and prove there is regardless
I don't think you realize it, but that's my point. I want to show that there's no real link between the two. I also hope to show that there's no pervasive harassment issue.
You shouldnt try to force the survey to show the results that you want. It should be impartial.
The fact that you admit to creating a survey to support you views is laughable.

I was impartial in its creation, but I still reserve my opinion. If the results say otherwise then I suppose my opinion will be changed. And I'm almost certain that most studies or surveys set out with an initial goal - to prove one thing or another.
And I would have appreciated some constructive feedback rather than just spitting in my face. Your opinions are your own, but do tell me what can be done better. I don't claim to be perfect.

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Because questions like for instance, if you questioned 100 men who had been married for 10+ years
1. Have you stopped beating your Wife Y/N
2. Have you ever beaten your wife. Y/N
3. Would you consider beating your wife. Y/N
are examples of loaded questions, where the only criteria is really to imply that wife beating in couples of 10+ years is prevalent, in any survey where the questions are so 'loaded' the fact that people complete the survey, regardless of the result of it, promotes the idea/supposition that the topic in question has validity, and in all cases the answers have less importance than the questions.
A good response - something I will wholly consider when rewriting the questions. It's this sort of feedback that I'm looking for. I'm no sociologist so this certainly helps. I also went through it again myself and noticed that a question and answer combo didn't match up exactly. "how often do you x " - "Yes or no". That doesn't exactly work, me thinks.
I'll be sure to avoid loaded or biased questions when rewriting.
Oh it exists, but games have gotten better about ways to stop it.
The thing is, harassment is relative to ones personal perception. I created an account for FFIV the other day and finally got it to update properly, so I went in to play for a couple hours and had to log out. I was getting harassed by gold sellers approximately every 10 seconds to a minute and a half. Blocking them does nothing because there's so many of them, and I can't just hide all my tells because the game doesn't allow for that. I can't even turn off the chats at all.
I've never been so harassed so persistently in any game and I've played a good hundred MMO's over the years. Even WoW, where I was harassed by an entire guild for two days for not dueling some child, wasn't as bad as this was. I will never go back to FFIV unless they fix the problem and I'm glad it was just a trial account. It's a good game, but the gold sellers make it useless to play.
