A MMO with good trading / auction system

JurnonJurnon Member UncommonPosts: 6

Hello,

I've been looking around for a new MMO which I could trade in. I don't care about the game itself, all I want to do is trade in the ah or some alternative system and make some profits :)

So far I've tried Archeage (pretty good, just got boring after some time), PoE (very unfriendly trading system), Wildstar (pretty good, but not enough people to have enough liquidity for a trader-only).

So, any ideas ? Maybe some upcoming MMO's, or maybe some old names who still have a lot of players trading on their trading platforms ? :)

PS. I've heard lots about Eve, but most of the info was related to it being very unfriendly to new players. Is that right ?

    EVE.

There is no other game that remotely comes  close to the economic systems that eve has. theres a whole set of gameplay mechanics to enhance everting that remotely connects to trade.

I dont play the game anymore ( for quite a while now)  but would recoment it to any player who likes economics.

    EVE Online, hands down.

Best economy, region wide auctions, trading professions.

You can try the MMORPG Atlantica Online. There are I believe 6 servers and market function (Auction house) is very crossserver. That means trading is BIG in Atlantica Online ^^. I am on THEBES Server. You can use this Code if you want a guidance. 4B759TD7FGJ5 use this in Tutorial mode, and I will get an message ingame and after that I will invite you.

    See you on Thebes :)

If any other new player are interested just post in the ATLANTICA ONLINE forum I will give out more Codes and will guide you through the game.

    EVE is pvp,

Combat PVP, market PVP, building PVP.

Sandbox, what you lose is gone.

So yes, if you mess with someone's income, they will make you pay for it. ppl will help you and give you advice and give you some hints, but the bottom line is that you will have to find the opportunities yourself, they will not give you a piece of their pie that easily. You will have to do research and work for it.

    Like in the real world.

The best trading system I have seen so far is the trading post in GW2. It has all NA and EU servers combined in this system, so lots of items.

FFXIV is the best I've experienced. Unlike EvE (which is also good), there is no rmt and there are far more diverse items to create and markets to cater to.

Not really. As others have already stated, if your goal is trading/selling, nothing comes even remotely close to Eve Online. It is very much the reigning monach in that area.

EVE, UO, SWG have all afforded me a really really good time immersing myself in trade unlike any other. Now two of those are only good in a certain iteration which i'll get banned if I even go further into it which is just ridiculous but if you want to know more about those two i guess just PM me.
