Hey guys,
Me and a couple of friends are looking for a MMO that we can play together.
We have already played the following games:
Guild Wars 2: We had a nice experience but we stopped because of the lacking endgame and a mediocre character progression.
World of Warcraft: The lore is epic for sure but we played it last summer and we felt like we were a little to late and that the prime time of the game was gone. We felt like we couldn´t catch up to all those long time players. If that has changed you can tell me.
So we are looking for a game that makes that what we didn´t like about the other two better and has some other things:
- We can play each type of content together be it PvP, questing or endgame content
- We would like a good character progression(WoWs is quite nice)
- That you have to work for your loot and don´t get it for free, so you have to work for it
- A nice atmosphere
- And an MMO that you play that you play for fun and not because you´re addicted (You can be aswell)
So please recommend me some MMOs but tell me why you think this one will fit.

I have yet to see an MMO that doesn't allow grouping, so you can pretty much play any MMO with your friends. The other bits about good progression and working towards loot means different things to different people, so most suggestions will vary on which MMO does that better or worse. Good luck though.
Maybe narrow it down to setting. Like typical orcs and elves, modern day, or sci-fi? Does trinity matter? Do you have enough friends to fill out a typical 4 or 5 man group or are we talking a mini-guild?

One thing to note about TSW... not all the quests in the game can be played as a group. Several quests send you into a solo instance, even if you're grouped when you go to it. You'll still be able to chat with your teammates, but each will be on its own instance.
Also, there's the investigation quests, where (at least for me) one of the biggest things I loved about them were to be able to figure them out by myself, but of course your mileage may vary.
