Until The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited hits consoles in June, expect that the team’s focus will be on fixes, picking up some pieces dropped in previous updates, and new ventures like crown store items (some new pets just arrived). For PC players, this lull had plenty of advance warning. It’s still a good time to revisit some of the changes promised before and yet to come.

Cant agree more on the combat. It just feels so bland and boring. I thought they had changed it with the update but I guess not.
I'm very skeptical that the plan still is to remove the VR ranks. Let's wait and see if the console versions launch with VR ranks or not. if they do, that's a pretty clear indication that they're here to stay since it would be pretty goofy to remove them from the consoles within a month or two.
I think what will happen is they will get a trial run there and if the console players are not as turned off by the VR ranks as the PC players were, we'll get some statement about why they re-thought their removal.
I personally no longer care. It's no longer a sub game and with this new model the VR grind just feels like more free content. It was a different story when you had to sub to do it.

I am sorry but GW2 looks horrible especially when it comes to combat. If any game lacks impact in combat it is GW2. In ESO your weapon actually gives an impact animation when you land a hit and more often than not the animation of the NPC mirrors the direction you hit them even their death animations reflect it.
There is nothing wrong with ESO combat and it sure as heck isnt unresponsive. Just sounds like you want a game where you can spam AoEs 100% of the time not having to pay attention to anything.
I have been playing a lot of Cyrodiil with guildmates lately and since update 6 I have not experienced much constant lag in large scale battles and we play during prime time hours.
I have noticed they still have not fixed the hitching when players enter or leave a large raid group though! This is quite annoying.
in my case those 180 would buy me some extra games to play alongside eso. But taht is just me. By the time $180 worth of dlc come out for eso that money is long gone in other games lol.
I would love to see a road map of future plans, even if they are somewhat delayed. I switch between toons a lot and am only about half way through each racial area but I would still like to know what I can look forward to.
I personally have no problem if they start offering more booster type items or starter packs for new players/toons. I cant imagine that the current iteration of the Crown store is all that successful and now that ESO is B2P they will need to add items that incentivize the purchase of crowns or a sub.
The only thing that I want to see are inventory type upgrades like backpacks, mules, bank spaces and of course more DLC.
The small bump in gold and exp gained is not enough of an incentive for me to keep paying the $15. If nothing changes Ill prob cancel my sub for now and keep enjoying the game as it is.

Um the games combat is passable at best (MY OPINION). Also don't make assumptions either, just because this poster isn't a fan of the combat doesn't mean likes or wants an AOE spam fest. The combat animations still need work in this game. Mob hit boxes are still huge which for me kills the immersion for a action combat game.
OP...you asked for a road map. Frankly I don't think there is one. MY CONJECTURE....the game cost so much to make...the launch was so buggy and the reception so negative from players....that vision and decision making has been off center since day 1.
This first year ha been about the PC and making the game more playable(for the PC and soon to be console players). Meanwhile the devs raced to implement console game play and a new cash infusion from those players. How do you stop the elimination of the VETERAN RANK system that players hate ? How do you stop conversion to the champion system when you are half way there ? Because you are pushing the console game development is my answer
There is no vision. There is no master plan. The next 6 months is all about maximizing profits from the console launch. ESO has already said nothing new in game development until the console launch "settles down".
After that...look for a cash grabbing DLC.
