The Temple of Elemental Evil is one of the most widely known modules ever created for D&D. Written by Gary Gygax and Frank Mentzer it was originally designed as an adventure for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and took place in the World of Greyhawk. Released in 1985 ToEE set the standard for massive modules. And now? Now it's back for more in DDO.

Absolutely!
I kept getting NWN and this game mixed up.I remember DnD online and i quit after i think was day 2 or 3.Everything was super linear paths and any interaction was easy enough a 5 year old could do it.It was to me a very boring game with low end graphic work.
IMO it was not designed at all to be a MMO but more like a very cheap single player game, very similar to NwN and many other games i see in the present, like MOBA's and Diablo/POE type games all using linear pathing.
That video and narration sounds so badly scripted and talks on about nothing, showed us nothing as well.
Show us this so called great module game play that takes months.I seriously have no idea what this video is suppose to be telling us or selling us?
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Only when it has an official memegenerator watermark....
Are you also getting Neverwinter Nights (NWN) and Neverwinter Online mixed up? The former was not an MMO.
NWN is basically a platform for playing 3rd edition DnD on the computer. If you are only using it to play the campaign that came with the box, you are missing the point. Although, the second expansion, Hordes of the Underdark, had a pretty good story.
As for MMOs... they need linear story lines, otherwise you would interact with other players even less. I would prefer that they do away with story altogether, MMOs are not the right medium for story telling.
Turbine missed out on Tyranny of the Dragons. I thought that was pretty clear.

In the context of Wil Wheaton and pop culture?
Yes, yes it was.

That's the pen and paper module. This one will take you a few hours at best.
The video just shows you the intro to the dungeon.
