What are eq1 vets playing now days?

I use to play eq2 back before when I was playing my roomates pc and it was just going f2p and I basically quit. Anyways I now own a custom pc thats fairly powerful and looking for a good mmo to get into.
Ive tried rift so far and it doesnt seem to offer depth
elder scrolls online really to expensive without a free trial so I can try the game first.
City of heroes is gone I use to play that allot to:(
Dc universe yea it sucks as far as depth and making your own heroes goes.
marvel heroes meh not interested plenty of my own diablo clones to play on the side right now.
Im downloading star wars but im not sure what to think of it from what I read. Ill probably play the themepark stuff and quit just to enjoy star wars.

I'm not a vet, really, I just played a bit there at the start.
as you may have guessed, I'm playing, wait for it, EQ 1. Not to say I don't play many other games, but when I want my rpg feels tugged, there is nothing close (multiplayer-wise).
i really wish I could stick with Eve, though. I just really don't get along with a bunch of ambitious males
Thankfully they've twiddled it just the way I like it. Nice fancy water shaders, a LOT of upgraded textures, redone skyboxes and clouds, etc. I wouldn't trust them to touch the animations, too big a system, too tempting to change other things, like the combat.
