Mech Based MMO?

Greetings to all,
Are we ever going to see a Mech based game? I know it can't be Mech-Warrior cause its licensed out to MS, but you would think that someone would have come up with something else close... Maybe they are afraid of getting MS's/Jordan Wiseman's Legal Dept...

You can do mech, or atleast of the Japanese Mecha variety. I know NCSoft has one in production, also there is already another one out called Iron War, but the game is pretty bad.

Soon to be released MMORPG. The only way you'd be able to pilot Mechs in that game is as a Bellato Specialist/Driver. And it's not the mech setup you're probably thinking of, not First Person display anyway.
It's probably the closest you'll get to a mech in an MMO though. Should be a lot of fun if you stick with it to higher levels. To be honest, that's the only reason I'd want to play RF Online is to be a Driver.
