I just started playing and now a level 10 shadow, serenity discipline and im having a freaken blast guys, it seems to have borrowed elements from eq2 which isnt a bad thing but I wonder how much depth and exploration there is. Anyways I might sub to it even if it is for just a month or two to play the storylines.

launch content and stories are pretty good, after that it goes downhill quickly.
i gave this game more than 1 try and still while fun for a while....i cant play it more than 2-3 days and quit.
To go back to your original question, if you think of this as Knights of the Old Republic 3 ,then you should have no problem and enjoy the game.
If you want depth ..... then you are quickly going to realise how cookie cut the builds are ( all of them) to the point where you will be kicked out of groups as you go into higher level content if your build doesn't meet that template. The amazing end game which is a non disguised epic grind....And only getting worst by what has been revealed. I have only done Makeb once on my imp and pub toons, and have completely skipped it on the rest of my 60's. And with new daily areas coming (forget about full expansions....not happening)...welp...there you go.
Oh and pvp gets absolutely NO love what so ever.....
BUT like I said if you go into this with KotOR 3 in mind, then yes you will have a blast....just remember your class story ends at 50...with everything else after that just your generic go here and become the hero type questing...and that's what sux. =(
8 years and counting addicted to
Avalon: The Legend Lives - the longest running online RPG in history
I'm very happy with the current state, and the team's promise of a renewed focus on story this year.
Shadow of Revan and the small class story bits were very nice, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. They have two more large content updates/expansions planned for this year, so those should be great too.
I also like messing around with my Strongholds (housing) from time to time.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)
