The question now is can Chronicles stand on its own two feet? Chronicles has faced a few challenges in its development. As most of you can probably guess $550k isn’t enough money to make a full fledged MMORPG. This eventually forced Cliffhanger to switch gears and become the cross platform tactical RPG it is billed as today. Cliffhanger did issue an apology to backers and offered them a chance to opt out.

Great article Rob, I agree wholeheartedly with everything written.

Really wish we'd get a proper, full fledged Shadowrun MMORPG though. Still my favorite PnP IP after all these years. I have all my original sourcebooks still, they hold a very dear place in my heart.

thinking of picking this up soon myself, a turn based game can be very fun in its own right and Shadowrun was one of my fav RpGs to play with friends years ago

It still seems like they got an above average game out that has great potential for expansion. I have been debating on getting it now or not.

At the moment it's more server lockdown than boston lockdown.  Give it a couple of weeks to see if they can force feed the hamsters before buying it.
