Hi all
I'm in the process of getting a new computer, and I really want to make sure the one I chose can support this game (tried to play on my laptop a while ago, but was unable to do so without it crashing).
I'm looking at this one as it'll be good for other games I'm looking at too.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated!
Thanks

That should definitely run it properly.
I imagine you'll want some extra ram* eventually (8 GB -> 16 GB), but the system definitely looks solid to me.
* Not for SWTOR, but for some of the more recent and upcoming games.
My SWTOR referral link for those wanting to give the game a try. (Newbies get a welcome package while returning players get a few account upgrades to help with their preferred status.)

Wouldn't touch it tbh, i think realistically, the days of the dual core processor are very limited, and its not a cheap PC either, for that sort of price i would be looking for an absolute minimum of a quad core PC, just overclocking a dual core is really not an option i would be all that happy about, you can get better elsewhere honestly.

just using that as an example, seriously though, i wouldn't bother with a new PC that didnt even have an SSD.
OK, many thanks for replies. I'll look into other options, especially quad processors.
Thanks again :-)
Would either of these be a better option (there both just in my price range)?

Thanks again for your help
Think this option a bit better, again i wouldn't choose an option that didn't have an SSD, not these days.

worth bearing in mind too that in a few months time you will be able to get a free upgrade from Win 7 and Win 8 to Win 10, something that i think most people will probably end up doing, though personally i'll wait 4 or 5 months before doing so just to avoid the usual launch issues.
Sorry to be a massive pain, but the link you posted won't save the options you've recommended and I can't tell from the link code. - any chance you could type them out ?
I didn't know about the free upgrade, so thanks for letting me know!
Again, I really apprciate the imput - I'm hoping to get to grips with computers as I get a bit more time :-)
I've been doing some research, and I'm actually starting to think about spending a bit more and keep coming back to that first link you shared

Is the processor better that the i5? Again, sorry for bombardment of questions!
You would probably have better luck posting this in the Hardware section.
I will say that out of the PCs you have linked the one in the quote above is the better. It at least has a decent GPU ( 270x) .
My advice is to post this again in Hardware, there may be some posters who visit there that can point you towards a vendor that is reputable where you live.
If I were going to buy from that Novatech site I would build consider something like this. To me this is a bit more balanced budget system.
At least in this one you know the PSU is good, not some generic "novatech 650 psu", same goes for GPU and RAM. Plus you have a cpu cooler now thats much better than a stock one.
You simply dont need an 8 core cpu on your budget. I spent that little extra saved going with a quad core on a better PSU and some hardware that wasnt the generic brand.
It is 25 bucks more expensive, but better quality hardware that will give at least a little piece of mind that everything isnt random cheap parts in your system.

Ah, sorry - hadn't noticed the hardware forum. Will post there as advised :-)
Thanks for the thoughts regarding changing the components - itheylooks good (from my limited knowledge at least!)
Thanks again :-)
