The latest teaser image for the advanced professions in Guild Wars 2 has been posted. This time, it appears to be a Guardian wielding a wicked looking and very icy-appearing bow. What do you think?
Originally posted by TSChzbarna It looks a little bit like a Bat'leth.
I agree, and I think that it is a more suitable weapon for the class but unfortunately it's just not going to happen. There is an unfulfilled need for more weapon types.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

Long range weapon is exactly what guardian is missing. So it is only logical to get bow.

Perhaps it's a Bat'leth Ice Bow. Now that's a weapon. :-)

It's a safe bet that guardians will get a bow as their new weapon for elite specialization. The skin is the same than the guardian's spirit bow, there are two weapon that share that skin, Aether (short bow) and Azureflame (long bow), so we don't know for sure which one they'll get. I'm rooting for longbow, because I main a guardian and IMHO longbow has cooler looking skins, but I'm thinking we'll get a shortbow instead because the other heavy profession (warrior) uses longbows.
Originally posted by observer I wonder if they'll go into detail like they did with the Chronomancer. They never went into detail with the Druid, so i wonder if they ever will.
My guess is that they'll do it a weekly thing covering one profession every week, so they have enough material to keep the hype train going for another two months or so.

Nice one. That ought to encourage those people to do some research.
But he's wielding it, so there's that.... I guess it can go both ways.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

Sadly the buff mechanics(boons) are so simplified in gw2, they already used all possible paragon combinations.
Warrior wielded a 2h ax in all the GW2 previews...
They gave Chronomancer Alacrity so they can give Paragon some new effect too.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.
