I'll listen to everyone in a raid through my speakers, but nope, no headset for me, I'm going to stick with ESO on PC.

I always love what people think is for kids...very interesting.

After a full year of PC beta....many think consoles were always the focus of ESO development.

I stumped up the £12.99 so i'll have a copy of my account (as of that time) on pc & console

I DEFINATLY will not miss the WTS: WTB: SELLING yada yada yada that fills chat since some are too lazy to join guilds.

I won't miss the chat box and i cant see much of a problem with using voice chat as long as they handle it correctly

    - There is no customization. ESO is addon-topia, though you can't create addons for the consoles. But the game needs it. ZOS does not provide in several areas of the game.

    - no typing, no roleplay, no free choice of voice tools. You're limited to the stuff ESO provides. No chat trading, no advertising, no chat lfg, no chat help. No chat is severely limiting in any MMO.

    - most consoles run on TV. You can't carry it to your friend, can't watch TV while playing, can't send your mate to the TV while you play

Consoles are consoles and pc are pc. Different things for different times.

I wonder if a game feels MMO at all without chat...

Some really far fetched reasoning....first of all, how ADHD are you that you need to watch TV while playing an MMO? Hell, for that matter who even watches TV anymore, my TV is going to be playing ESO, if I get bored I guess I could fire up Netflix, or Hulu on my PC, not sure why I would want to distract myself from the game though.

If I am at a friends, or a friend if over we are usually experiencing real life, or playing two player on my console in a game, i'm not going to ignore him and play an MMO.

ZOS is going to provide a couple of the Add on's they felt added to the game, the rest are just putting the game in easy mode, you know same reason on a PC you have console mode in most game, and consoles you don't because PC player can't help but cheat.

Oh and no annoying spam from gold sellers, and random stupidity from trolls and noobs, scrolling at a hundred miles per hour in my chat window, sign me up now!

I expect that the local chat will be for the most part ignore, and that the group and guild community will be all the better for it.

Most of you have not been around long enough to remember when MMO meant like 20 to 100 people on a server at a time. The community back then was awesome, everyone knew each other, everyone knew who was worth dealing with, and who to ignore, and if enough people ignored the trolls and d bags they eventually moved on to another server, or another game.

Perhaps in a community of limited communication that will be the way of things again.

PC is better at some things, but consoles are better in others. Get over it, get on with your life, and stop trying to make crap up to feel better about the fact that your mommy wouldn't buy you a new gen console.

He nailed it and your basic reaction is to belittle him?  How nice of you.  I found your counter arguments to be quite weak to what he said, your primary argument was to make fun of him.   Personally I have played the game on both and it is much better IMO on the PC.  Like huge differences, not minor ones.  Oh and btw I have been playing MMO's since they came out and never remember playing with 10-100 people on a server.

Wait, where did I make fun of him specifically? Nothing I said was intended to be an insult, just perspective.

And you mention that you have been playing since MMO's started and don't remember server populations like I mentioned, give me a brief history of your MMO's experience and I will add to it to show you what you missed out on.

    Not so nice guy!

Still not enough, never really will be.

As they say; "once bitten, twice shy" - many people have been bitten by ESO multiple times.

Seeing as The Elder Scrolls is now a console franchise, and has been since Oblivion, it certainly will be the definitive edition.
