Cryptic Studios has announced that Wizards of the Coast has released the first information about the next tabletop module which, as has been done in the recent past, heralds the next game module for Neverwinter. Called "Underdark", the details are scanty but we do know a few things.

  • Players will fight alongside the ever-popular and iconic D&D character Drizzt Do'Urden

  • The quest arc with Drizzt will be written by RA Salvatore

  • The Underdark details will be released through the next several months

The Underdark module will be preceded by the 'Strongholds' update later this year.

This game using the name Drizzt is almost as insulting as the game itself to Neverwinter Nights fans.

Your being too kind, how about The Forgotten Realms or D&D in general, this game is an abomination.

I find it alarming that they are considering any kind of new expansion before they clean up the mess that mod 6 introduced.  It makes me question if they really intend to fix any of the problems in the game.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

Gotta add those new lockboxes, man.

Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

    bwahahahahahahahahahaha pathetic.

like the pen and paper canned adventures they're doing.  Hasbro has a great property in both NW and in DND 5e, and they're crapping on the licence nicely.

Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed.  Current mmo's grouping: tinder.  swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.

They need to fix the Elemental Evil crap (and boy was it crap) before they even think about launching anything else let alone developing anything else. The game is an absolute disaster and the paladin class doesn't even fully work properly. You know, because "maces are iconic"...

Why would they clean up the mess module x caused when they introduced module x without cleaning up the mess that the then previous module caused?

And be careful what you wish for, while i was playing (up until right before module 4) they usually broke more stuff than they fixed with each patch, and totally unrelated things on top of that.

Allowing paladins to use swords? Better forget about completing your main story as wizard. Stuff like that.

And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

This question was raised a lot even during beta and after launch.  They don't care at all about this game.  They only care that you pay while you are visiting.

Does anyone else find it funny that their PC version is tanking, they expansion elemental evil is terrible because of their design flaws and bugs, they're constantly having server drop issues because of the server service provider some idiot made a contract with, and their console version is having serious trouble because of their lack of concern over quality and now they pull this card suddenly. Yeah can we say desparate?
