I read that when you first create your character you get to choose their clothes etc and that these clothes/armour whatever stays with you for the rest of that character's life. Now, a big part of playing an MMORPG is to get new equipment to look cooler, in your game how will this be adressed? You find the uber black dragonscale mail and wear it and it looks like some pancy shirt you created when you made your character...this seems kinda boring. So what I'm wondering is, will new equipment found show on the character?

I'm sure brodbane's faq has the answers, but it has been said that you can choose the clothes you start with, and later when you find cool things, you can wear them and they will show.
Basically you can wear what you want, when you want. I doubt they'll have much for uber mail though, you're most likely going to be making everything you find uber, I don't think it will start that way.

Last I knew, they would show only if you wanted them to.
I remember hearing that we'll be able to save our favorite outfits so we can change into them on the fly. So, you might have a "casual" outfit that you wear while in town, but then change into something more intimidating for adventures.
But I have a question about this myself. The clothing in this game can be compared to the clothing in City of Heroes in a lot of ways. But how similar will it be?
Recently in City of Heroes, as part of the Valentine's Day event, everyone who logged in within a period of time unlocked the toga costume option. We could then go to the costume shop and edit our costume, adding the toga to it. This way is fine for a super hero kind of game, but I think it'd have some drawbacks in this one.
In this style of game, I'd much rather find some new helmet (or something) and then carry it around with me, putting it on and taking it off as I like, and maybe even trading it to someone, or just sell it to an NPC. It gives more of a sense of accomplishment or ownership, and adds a bit to the immersion if you ask me. Finding a pair of new boots is a lot more fun than getting a message that you unlocked that costume option.
So the question...
Will we make a starting outfit and then "unlock" new costume parts and make new outfits, or will we find new pieces that we can put on and take off like in other games, while we're able to "save" our favorite looks?
