Gloria Victis: Port to Unity 5 Nears Completion

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

The Gloria Victis team has sent word that the port to Unity 5 is nearing completion and will be ready for release in a few days. Graphics show marked improvement as well as steady increases in FPS, better lighting effects, high quality textures and much more.

In addition, the next update is well under way that will give player a chance to try out the Territory Control System where players will work cooperatively to secure and maintain key points on the map.

Players have also requested the addition of a first person camera to allow for more immersive game play and an update to the crafting system, both of which are in the works.

Read the full update on the Gloria Victis site.

Last I checked it was pretty rough round the edges, with this port though and the continued dedication of the team I have faith that this might just be something really nice.

    Humm, looks very interesting.

An open world, sandbox game with nice skill based combat is what I´m looking for.

Just not sure if the housing system is something like Archeage, non instanced and territory claming, that would be awesome! I really am not interested in instanced housing, it´s kind of a turn off for me.

Thinking about giving my contribution to Gloria Victis if the game is up my alley.

So many MMOs are close to releasing in say end of this year or in 2016. Maybe too many and wonder how they can attract enough people to survive.

You know when you play too much MMO's when your partners pants have become a rare drop.

Awesome new. It is really shaping up to be a great game. Have had lots of fun in over the past year+ testing out the game at various stages / updates. The unity 5 Update will be a great improvement, especially with the FPS increases. I'll likely be hopping back in after the update and streaming again. Took a break from the game while waiting for these updates to be put in.
