Final Fantasy XIV : Job Actions

Just noticed this video on youtube.

What do you guys think?

In my opinion, the animation of each class and how fast they were able to execute each skill in succession put a smile on my face. I'm hoping it will be like that on release. It's looking real sexy.

To me, monk feels like it doesn't have "weight" combated to the other melee classes. Like their actions feel mis-representative to the damage they actually do. Ninja DK and Machinist are so BA. Edit: Saw a video previewing the new dungeons as well.

Come on dude, MNK will be OP as hell and that Blood of the Dragon for DRG's is gonna make my burst DMG sky rocket !!

I wanted more on the MCH but oh well. I'm kinda excited to try the new BRD song too. Although I do have 1 issue. I have most, alsomt all, 2 left, DoW, so, you can see I don't play DoM so much. Well, I was getting into THM tryin to get him to 30 for BLM and I feel like my rotation is off or something. Plus I have this overwhelming urge to move, as I usually DPS/Tank mostly.

My concern is this : "New ability: Enochian

Additionally, there is one more new ability known as Enochian. When using this ability you’ll gain a 30 second buff, and only while under the effect of this buff you will be able to cast Fire IV and Blizzard IV.

In order to use Fire IV and Blizzard IV, you’ll need to have Astral Fire and Umbral Ice, respectively, in addition to the buff granted by Enochian.

Also, Fire IV and Blizzard IV do not grant stacks of Astral Fire or Umbral Ice, so after learning Enochian your skill rotation will completely change.

Furthermore, you can also lengthen the effect duration of Enochian by casting Blizzard IV. Every time you lengthen it, the effect duration will become 5 seconds shorter, but as long you continue to cast Blizzard IV you will be able to maintain the effect of Enochian. There will be a lot ways to maintain this effect with existing abilities such as casting Blizzard IV with Swiftcast.

You’ll gradually learn all of these elements as you progress from level 50 through level 59, and then at level 60 when you learn Enochian the way the job is played will largely change.

Depending on the content, the optimal skill rotation will vary, so please try out various things to find the best rotation."

This is what confuses me and scarews me about even wanting to try THM/BLM. I am level 23 or something like that so...yeah.

And I don't heal AT ALL so these that lol.

No one can honestly say how any class will play at 60, especially monk since it like 3 or so separate "combos" they need to do or something? blm rotation isn't really that hard and it only changes like 2-3 times from 1-50 if I remember correctly, but if you're looking for something less complex and more mobile I would suggest smn. You dont have to touch sch at all but you wont see the "big" numbers like you would as a blm since its more cumulative damage rather than direct. You do get pets so there's that.
