I posted earlier in this year about what are some MMO's possibly coming out this year. I got some replies about Everquest Next possibly, GW2 expansion, and a handful of other games. One I didn't get a reply about, but is in the pipeline possibly for this year is Blade & Soul. While this game was released in Asia in 2012, and is 3 years old at least graphically, are there any other MMO's creeping around the corner?
Any AAA MMOs coming in 2015? (don't bother asking me what I consider AAA, just if you think its AAA mention it, this thread isn't about what is AAA and what isn't, just list it and I'll spend my time researching the game, rather that researching the theory of using the term AAA)
Note: I used to read this site everyday, and was in the know about anything new coming out. But now I no longer have the time and energy to pick up every kernel of info or rumor out there, so I don't mind asking you guys for any rumors or info on any cool upcoming MMOs.

Here's an article that covers the big ones:

Here's one that covers a wider range, but it also is very flexible with the term MMO (ex: Battlecry is on the list) :

What is the big deal about this Blade and Soul game? Looks like any other asian mmo out there.
If that's all you see then its just not for you. Want to know more google Blade & Soul then start from the top and work your way down. Only those who seek will find.
And i thought game companies have marketing department with the sole purpose of spreading the word, and find the players ... instead of asking the players to seek them out.
Both games you mention are good F2P MMOs but as far as I see in the Asian market, Blade&Soul is far more popular than KUF2.

It's just a tweaked Aion. Really... I mean honestly it is.
Really? if thats the case it will probably flop faster than Wildstar did, tbh i haven't seen anything that would suggest it has anything in common with Aion, although obviously i have yet to see any gameplay.. perhaps its time i had a closer look
About the only things B&S has in common with Aion that it doesn't have in common with themepark games generally are publisher and country of origin. Tho' to be fair both of these are apparently an instant "deal breaker" (or whatever the cool kids call it this week) for many on this site.
EDITED TO ADD: Apropos of the OP, tho', the B&S announcement was certainly a surprise for me, I'd pretty much concluded that NC had quitely abandoned any plans for a Western release.
There is not one Triple A game on the horizon and as far as i know, not even one just getting started,so sadly we are 5-10 years from a Triple A mmorpg.
The reason is "trends" and right now the trend is to go cheap with some gimmick while cutting tons of corners in game design. There are games that claim crafting, but it is done badly or again real cheap. It should be easy for any gamer to realize what took no effort at all to implement. We should ALL realize by now that almost 100% of game environments are all auto generated,so don't think that took them any effort at all, besides making the assets.
Next a game often talked about, did absolutely nothing, generated an empty world,Paid for a voxel farm license and decided they could make money from it right away by selling it as Landmark. So this is the type of robbery and lack of effort devs are looking for to rip us off. Then if some very naive people refused to believe it,H1Z1 release should have really sunk home as a terribly lazy release effort and asked almost 30 bucks to play it lol.
I cannot even predict who will attempt the next triple A mmorpg,i do know a few who could pull it off but they are not into rpg's so the future does not look bright, unless you like Moba's and cheap games that look like some teenagers made them with their allowance.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
and shooters. Blizz is making a shooter Overwatch, and it looks good.
Just watched a few lets play vids and tbh, while i don't really see much in comparison to Aion, barring the art style i guess, though in that sense it looks like all the others, not sure what this game does thats any different to the rest of the grinders tbh, its very generic in look and how the game play seems to work, not sure this is a game that is going to appeal to many players in the EU/UK/USA areas, and of those, it will probably be struggling to compete with TERA
Personally, I think it's good that there are few titles listed for 2016.
We have too many now, the market is completely saturated.
AAA means the quality of the game and the production value. It has nothing to do with payment model. Everquest Next will be AAA even though it will be Free To Play. Yes, Blade & Soul is much more popular then Kingdoms Under Fire 2.
Black Desert would have been on my list too but I don't think its coming to the West in 2015.
I never understand statements like this.
Black Desert will be just like any other mmo on the market to where some will play and some wont. Just like ArcheAge, Elder Scrolls, Star Wars The Old Republic, Final Fantasy, Eve Online, Guild Wars 2, TERA, Aion and any other mmo on the market.
I think the list of 'just like any other MMO's' would be a bit more accurate if you listed TERA, Archeage, Aion, Blade and Soul, as those are the games, realistically, that it will be likened to, SW;TOR, TESO, FFXIV;ARR and Eve Online etc. Belong to completely different subsets, which i would not liken Black Desert to at all
You not understanding what I am saying. Every mmo that releases will have people that try it. Some will stay and continue to play and some will leave. Thats what will happen with Black Desert and every other mmo that comes out.
Why does games like TESO and Final Fantasy belong to a different subset?
We are in a point where MMOs must evolve, (Talking about AAA MMOs), and it doesn´t looks that it will happen anytime soon. But there is a AAA quality game outhere that could show us the way of future MMO development, and ironically, is not really a MMO, Im talking about Star Citizen.
thanks for the link Lokto!!!!! Yes!!!!! Warhammer 40K out in 2015!!!!!!! didn't know that was coming this year possibly! Great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I found my new game. I will fade back into the shadows now.
It is an AAA MMO and it will hopefully release this year, with the slim pickings we have this year that should be more than enough.
And it does honestly look better than most other Asian MMOs even if the artstyle indeed look a lot like AION and TERA.
If the game will be good enough or not to make an impact in the West is anybodys guess but it is still worth noting.
Agree! It's got all the cliches down. But it's given a boner to the console twitchy "action" combat kiddies.
