Bit of joystick help

ZandilZandil Member UncommonPosts: 252

Hoping someone can help with a bit of a issue I'm having with my T.Flight stick / throttle

Been using it in SC, but the Throttle has become extremely lose from Mid point to full throttle ( top position ), almost drops by it's self once i small amount of pressure is placed on it from the mid detent position.

Is there a way to tighten the Throttle back up,.

Check ifixit, might be a repair guide for something like yours.
Another palce to check is youtube. Might find a video about it there. I found a video to fix my mouse there.
Have you tried cracking open the throtle to inspect the tensioner or whatever they use to, is adjustable? If it is not working right, can't really make worse pocking around yourself.

Found a guide on how to remove the detent spring in the throttle ( some people don't like it ) but nothing other on utube.

I'll give ifixit I try, would prefer a bit of guidance before I open it up as it still works, well it does until i try to fix it anyway.

    I would check Youtube.

Honestly, though, it isn't the best stick to use.  Really the best setup for SC is going to be a CH Pro Throttle (analog thumbstick) or a T16000m stick for left hand with a CH Fighterstick or Thrustmaster Warthog in the right.

Best cheap setup?  Twin T16000m.  Stay away from Saitek IMO.

The lower cost sticks are fairly bad outside of the T16000m.  IT has fairly cheap buttons on it, though.

SC is harder on my equipment than any other flight sim or space game, though, so expect heavy wear on anything you use.

So far my Thrustmaster has been great value for money, only issue i have is the lose throttle. i can live with it but if it's fixable would like to be able to do so.
