Does pre-order box get you into beta right away?

If I buy the preorder today, do I get to play in beta right away? or when?

    It *should* get you in right away. But it may depend on who you order from.

    In my case (your mileage may vary):
    I was in stress test and decided to pre-order frm EBGames.
    Ordered the game and within a few minutes of the order, they (EB) sent me an e-mail.
    The e-mail contained a pre-order Beta key.
    I didn't use the key right away since it was limited to 10 days and I was already playing the stress test.
    2 days later Turbine closed the stress test.
    I updated my account with the pre-order beta key and was able to log in an start playing again...on a different server. Had to create new toons.

    Oh. So the beta is still going on right now? If I were to buy a preorder from EB games today (Feb.15th), can I go to the Turbine site tonight and log inwith my emailed beta key to the beta till the 28th(release day)?

    The beta is still running for pre-order customers only.
    I think the pre-order beta will continue until around the 20th.

    Sometime between the end of pre-order beta and the 28th, Turbine will open the game up for pre-order customers to start playing for real. Not sure how many days before the 28th it'll be, but it'll give the pre-order folks a chance to get in first, pick fav names, and have a small head start over the players who buy the game on launch day.

    at least that's what a little gnome told me. ;-)

    The 24th is when the 'Head-Start Event' begins.  That's when the pre-order players get to log in and start their toons for the live servers/release.

    I've heard rumors that the official beta stops on the 20th and the preorder will start the 24th. and the official relase should still be the 28th Feb. Does anyone have further to add?

    I have set up my head-start account and the account lasts from the 24th to the 2nd, 7 days. Unfortunatly I ordered my game using free shipping and it will take 5-10 days to get to me so, hopefully, I'll get it the 4th (2 day gap)... worst case the 9th[7 day gap image ].

    i'm trying to set up my acount with them and its asking me which games i've played in Beta before and i did that then they made me get an account to file planet then it brought me back to my first page but it was empty! what do i do?
