Please tell me, because I really want to know if any mmorpg has hooked you or not and I will be all over that game, obviously I enjoy leveling and grouping while leveling the most in a mmorpg.
I haven't been hooked on game since EQ. I enjoyed a number of emu, including P99. I enjoyed Age of Wushu and ArcheAge but depending on how much you play them, you will eventually find the P2W aspect annoying if theres a competitive bone in your body. PvE in both games also sucked compared to EQ or even themepark games for that matter, but some of the open world stuff was fun for the contested aspect.
I'm playing ESO and like it...not hooked. Downloaded Fallen Earth and like it also....but it seems barren and old. So I try to test some other games. None seem too promising.
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....."
I started with Everquest in 1999 when it launched. I dabble in Wildstar and ESO now. Hooked is not quite the word I would use last hook was FFXIV ARR I think. I stopped playing when I got tired of trying to convert my zodiac weapon that got tiresome.
I stopped playing MMOs. MMOs today are shitty single player games with an obnoxious chat and micro-transactions stretched out with pointless grinding. Instead I play single player games that are actually good, and I can still chat with people that I like on Steam. As a bonus I find I feel much less rushed in a single player game, and I don't feel like I have to conform to a stupid meta to compete with other players.

Seems like a pretty general consensus amongst us "old school" guys.
Hooked on nothing, dabble in this and that. I wish something could really get me hooked, that's for sure.
High hopes for either Camelot Unchained or Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. Hoping 1 of the 2 will not disappoint.
I was "hooked" on GW2 for a while when it came out, but it got stale for me and even the idea of the upcoming expansion is "meh, maybe I'll give it a try" at best. Tried ESO, Wildstar, FFXIV, all of the other big titles that have come out in the last couple of years, nothing has really been able to keep my attention long term. And right now I'm actually inbetween jobs doing some side work while I find a new 9 to 5 and I have plenty of extra time on my hands and none of these games STILL satisfy what I am looking for.
FFXIV ARR haven stop playing since release , and that didnt happen in years (Eq > FFXI > Eq2/wow on/off ....lots of games but none hooked me in, all of them went f2p at some point or were closed COH included)
Nothing... I hope Pantheon gets made and turns out to be what it says its trying to be. I dont have a lot of hopes for that project because of ill spent money. I really hope they recover. Wife and I are killing time in GW2 because of the action crap games out there, they seem to do it ok. The game is quality and the price is right. I hope EQN will do it better but again its more action crap lol. My hopes for a modern Trinity game is not looking good. If one comes out, I will jump over the moon.
I played Darkfall UW for a couple years and it took care of my need for something old schoolish. I am taking a break from it and there really is nothing else out there that qualifies. I'm forcing myself to play ESO currently. It is well done, I just don't like questing or being told a story in what should be a virtual world.
Edit: When I'm not forcing myself to play ESO, I always go back to EQ1.

Diablo 3 ... some says not a MMO .. to me, close enough.
I played EQ for a year since release, so I guess i count as a EQ vet too .. not that i particularly like that game or anything.
Left EQ in 2005...I'm playin the only MMO I found that was anything like EQ and that is Minions of Myrth......IT is clearly an under the radar game with a small pop but has alot of EQ elements in it with some added features like tri-classing that are really fun (can you imagine playing an EQ bard, shaman, and Warrior rolled into one?).

After EQ and EQ2 it was GW1 and Aion for years, GW2 was ok but got stale much faster than GW1. I liked wildstar but the population died quickly. Crowfall is the first game that has me legitimately hopeful since GW2, it's the only kickstarter I have ever backed.
After trying the oculus right at PAX I'm hopeful that VR will revitalize the market. My brief experiences with it transform dull games into very immersive experiences which could help with alot of the games that come out these days.

To add my 2c..nothing. I haven't felt that hook in years.
I'm currently playing ESO, and it's ok. Not great, but it's a gap filler.
Dabbling wildstar myself its kind of meh a bit kiddish to me and I dont care for the lack of voice acting in a linear rpg id understand if it had more freedom. How the secret world for grouping?

TSW's not great for grouping IMO. Way too many solo instances (as in you're forced to break up your party and then go in to do the mission alone). So unless you want to do group content (dungeons) all the time, it may not be the game for you.
It's excellent to play solo for the story though. And it's fully voice acted.
