SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

The Umbra team has announced that the initial funding request of $225,000 has been reached with thirteen days yet to go.

This means it now has a full two weeks to achieve its soon to be announced stretch goals! Said stretch goals will include the chance to develop more content for the game, new gameplay modes, as well as unlocking several Kickstarter-exclusive rewards to thank the backers who pledge for a copy of Umbra.

Check out the Umbra Kickstarter page for more information.

    Looks good. Wish it was on the PS4, though, since besides Diablo3, there appear to be no decent coop RPGs on the platform.

    I kicked in $40 for the prototype, alpha and beta. These guys are doing what I've had in my head for a long time, basically bastardizing every other games best feature and melding them. I would have gone with a lighter setting because I'm tired of the gloom but hey, you can't win 'em all.

    I don't think I can ever put money towards a kickstarter MMO.  After seeing so many problems/drama pop up I'm just not confident in crowdfunding for an mmo.

    I have backed several board games though, so it's not like Im a kickstarter nay-sayer...I just don't think it's worth the risk for mmos

    Umbra isn't an MMO but even still, I figure I've thrown away plenty of money of retail MMOs that have bombed, what's the difference? XD

    This game just looks smooth to me. It's the style or something but anyways, thanks for the heads up! I will be following this game now    ;-}

    Hopefully it has a good story with lots of good sidequests... That's the problem with isometric ARPGs... The quests and main story usually suck and are replaced in favor of hacking and slashing through countless mobs until it gets to the point of tedium.

    Why does it look like Diablo or POE?

    Sort of a waste of a good game engine when you have a distant overhead camera and a puny small player model.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    The game is a hack&slash inspired by Diablo 1 and 2.
