When the ESO launch for PS, will me and my friend be able to play togeather - I play on my PC and my old account. He on a new bought PS4 game account and he play on his PS4?
Can PS and PC play togeather?
Comments
Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play?

Thanks, well not an option, i hate consols and joypads I am a PC guy to the core. Guess we wont play togeather then, never really understood why they dont make these things connected. Sometimes it would be nice to slack on the sofa and play from a PS4 - but not when you cannot use same account ...
Same goes for Diablo 3 .. hmm
Well, if your friend has a PS4, and you have a PC, then you could try FFXIV;ARR, its a true multiplatform game, tbh ESO is very much behind the times in how it handles things, its not even trying to be progressive, which is a shame, because if they had gone multiplatform, it might have encouraged more people to actually play the game, its not as if its even all that difficult to do, FFXI did it years ago, and for games that don't involve FPS (which ESO is not) it would make far more sense to have a multiplatform server, very shortsighted tbh, and if its just Microsoft not playing ball, then they should have just excluded them, its not like the XB1 is all that relevant anyway, there are at least twice as many PS4's out there than XB1's
There are a lot of XB1s however; and (as with PS4s) the number continues to grow.
Coupled with Skyrim's sales record on previous XBox's I suspect Zenimax (if they actually thought about it) would be inclined not to dismiss potential XB1 sales. Especially as a b2p title.
I was prepared to buy the game on console for £48, so the transfer of £12 is better value than paying £48 and not having your characters, it depends on your point of view
I am getting it on console as well mainly to get more char slots.
You can use same account. When they transfer your chars from PC to console you can play PC as well console, but your progress is not shared, eg if you transfer a level 10 char from PC to console, and then progress it to level 20 on console, it will still be as it was on PC when it transferred - level 10. So could be ideal to have a clone on PS4 to play with your friend from time to time, and mainly play on PC.
The only problem is that the offer to transfer from PC to console, expired around 9th May, although may return
Star Trek Online - Best Free MMORPG of 2012
The whole point though, is that then PS4 players and PC players would be able to play on the same server, which as in the case of FFXIV;ARR was a huge benefit to users of both platforms, and if Microsoft can't handle that, then so be it, certainly didn't hurt Square Enix to exclude the XB1 from their game because Microsoft refused to play ball, this isn't after all because the XB1 can't handle it, but because of Microsofts somewhat myopic shortsightedness, and if Microsoft wants the whole PS4 outselling XB1 by at least 2:1 to change anytime soon, then maybe they should consider embracing inclusiveness as an ideology.
how is that a ripoff? they are giving you the entire game for free on the console by transferring accounts for that price...
Its a great deal.
It's a ripoff for me considering I would need to factor in a $400 console!
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
And you need electricity to power the console, also ripoff, and for that, you need a house or an apartment, again ripoff etc.
On one hand, it is the "policy" of Microsoft to have separate servers for Xbox, but on the other hand, FF games are actually the exception, and not the rule. Defiance has separate servers, Planetside 2 is having separate servers, Free realms had separate servers, etc etc. And oddly enough, FFXI on 360 did not have separate servers.
But realistically, the main issue is the voice-chat. If you do PC + Console, you have to forgoe voice-chat (like FFXI and FFXIV did), since neither console will allow PC people into their voice system.
There's also the other weird stuff that doing separate servers avoids (like, PC's having add-ons that consoles cannot have).

Any idea if keyboards and mice work with the xbox one? And how could they not have a text chat system in the game like that other guy said up there a few posts ago? Even Neverwinter has it. What are people supposed to do if they want to quick sell something? Yell?
Also FYI I was looking at the number of players and they have it listed on the store as 2-200. That's a seriously low cap if that is in fact the case.
In fact, don't bother asking MMO related questions on an MMO board.
Since most things can be googled, I guess that renders these boards almost archaic.
