MikehaMikeha Member EpicPosts: 9,196
Pricing for AMD’s entire Radeon 300 series has been leaked and it’s showing major performance per dollar improvements across the board. Today’s leak is a little bit different, we’re bringing you an exclusive look at the pricing for the red team’s upcoming 300 series of discrete graphics cards. We’ve managed to confirm these prices directly through our own sources. . In fact we’re confident enough in the legitimacy of the information which our sources have provided that we’ve decided to drop the rumor tag.

All I see is a rebrand of a rebrand except the fury. This is just... lolwut?

It shows what PvP games are really all about, and no, it's not about more realism and immersion. It's about cowards hiding behind a screen to they can bully other defenseless players without any risk of direct retaliation like there would be if they acted like asshats in "real life". -Jean-Luc_Picard

Is this the Fury/Fiji we've been waiting on AMD to drop?

Doesn't look like a competitor for the GTX 980 ti or Titan .... am I missing something?

Gotcha, so rebranding for the 970 -  980 markets and we're still waiting on unveils for the ti and Titan competition. I wonder if that's going to be the June 16th release or if the above is going to be expanded on.

No, they will be shown at E3 at the PC Conference.

To the contrary, this would be the first time that Hawaii or Tonga had been rebranded, unless you count FirePro.

That said, I'm skeptical of regarding a wccftech link as confirmation of anything.  I'm not saying it's wrong; I'm saying it's a rumor.

    A rebrand of a rebrand.

Also Bonaire is getting a rebrand twice as well.

I dont know, they were right about the $650 price on the 980Ti when everyone else including guru3d etc was asying it was gonna be $800.

That being said it doesnt preclude them from being wrong.

Also, to the OP, this isnt really news, all the 390x is a 290x with a bit higher clockrate and 8gb of ram instead of 4gb.  Its not really that "aggressive" of pricing, they're just doing the usual dog and pony show to get people to think its a new product.

No where did I say these are new. We already explained that part and I did not write the article.. Its the first price chart I have seen for these cards so that's the news. True or not we will find out.

Take anything wccftech say with a pinch of salt. Occasionally they are right but they post pretty much anything that anyone tells them so they can be 'first'. I've lost count how many articles they've pulled off their site this week alone regarding the 3** range because they turned out to be untrue.
