FF14 A Gold Digger Reborn
gameplay 8/10
combat system 8/10
social environment 3/10 ( spending my time in /busy to avoid getting spammed and friend requested by gold sellers is nowhere near the fun word)
grouping in no raid area 4/10 this game is not wow and almost if not all zones exept for coerthas, northern thanalan and mor dhonna are virtually as lively as a graveyard. and thanks to the huge nerf on the only challenging trial SoF its even worst.
system requirement 2/10 too much money wasted on a Pc when a PS4 does better and its a console
30 fps stable = GeForce 640gt on a i5 8 gig ram ddr3...PS4 = 60 fps non stop..picture if you will
great game, story is good and takes a good amount of time to finish if youre not into power plowing mmorpgs
great graphics if you invest a good amount of money on your machine if you arent playing on ps4.
great community if youre into making every class into a dps class
great questing lines main scenaro, secondary quest relics and raid progression. exept if you're new to the game GG square enix, all the new players will give up on the progression of the game.
NOW the part that everyone loves, the downside
I AINT SAYING THIS GAMES LOADED WITH GOLD DIGGER BUT SE IS LIVING OFF HE GOLD BUYERS.
this game comes with an incredible amount of bots , gold sellers of all types from coil1-13 runners, extreme primals to crafting sellers.
GM , only seen one that was competent in over a year of gameplay.
you CANT report hackers, you CANT report gold diggers, YOU cant report bots and you CANT report on forums EVEN if the GM team will send you replies asking you to do so.
you CANT post screenshot of suspiscious hacktivites in the game because you can photoshop each and every pixels used in the game, you CANT make video recording of hackers or suspiscious activites because they can be edited( dont ask me how i have yet to try to photoshop a whole video) and the best part you cant report incompetent GMs who are telling you htat there is no gold digging in FF14, thats why they make a living by selling stupid players 50M gils for 160$.
spoke to a "boss GM" named [GM]Gm Emdub told me to report any suspiscous hacktivities on the forums in the forms of a feed back... how the heck are we supposed to report hackersand rmts in the form of a feed back if its not tolerated on the forums to add a player name and their activities

Altho I do agree there are way too many folks selling runs and way too many gold sellers depending on the server your on. Some have less then others.
I do not think you know what "cant" means. You can report people. now I am not saying they actually do anything about it on the us/eu servers. but you can report folks. I have done it many times thru their petition/feedback in game.
god i wish i knew how to copy paste links and email replies to this place. the following link is conisdered illegal on the FF14 AGDR forums because im supposed to be skilled enough to photoshop the guys magic sphères, spell casting bars, hp of the boss going down and the dmg displayed on the screen, the attack Arrow pointing at the boss and the exact shadows around every graphics in this screenshot

its also "illegal" to expose their answers to your questions.

No shit. It's a crap card LOL
I love people, "this game won't run on my low/mid end gaming rig that i bought for playing WoW 7 years ago, the hardware requirements are absurd!"
Obviously im exaggerating for effect
But, seriously, i have a buddy that spen about 1200 on a rig 5 years ago, its an i7-920, non overclocked, 8gb ram, he bought a GTX 770 about a year and some change ago, and he can play this game on max settings at 1080p at a sustained 90-100fps.
This game is not hardware breaking, at all. As a matter of fact, im pretty impressed with how good it looks for the minimal system requirements it has.
"The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently."
- Friedrich Nietzsche
That's nice bullshit there. Maybe with lowest - med settings
People with
i7 4770k OC
GTX 680 (basically same as 770)
16GB RAM
SSD
Cant run it with stable 60 at 1080p without sacrificing some of the graphic effects.
Also his CPU bottlenecks 770 anyway. First generation i7 CPUs are kinda oldish for even 600 series
Your Social And Instance environment is what you make of it. So if you just use the Duty Finder or expect a lot of chatter in the open world you are wasting your time.
First there is no world wide open channel. You can shout in a zone and thats about it. Now you can use Linkshells to have several groups of friends that help you with things. I have 1 Linkshell that does a lot of instances together as well as Hunts. So If there is a ranked hunt A or S in the world I know about it because that Linkshell.
Second a Community is what you make it from a Free Company in this game. Find a good Free company and you will have a lot of people willing to run instances with you as well as chat with.
Third. If you are using the Duty Finder to queue solo you will never have friends or get to know people period. Use the Party Finder tool that is server only and you can find people that will want to run things with you that are link minded. I know because I have used the Party finder and after every run I end up with several friend request. Right now I have 30+ friends that are not in my FC and are people I met through Party Finder or the new Event Calendar on the FFXIV website.
So your low grades on Community is because you didnt try. Even people who are hardcore have a great community of hardcore players. You just have to find the community its not just going to exist in the open.
Hmm some ppl must have realy different idea about games, for me this game is realy polished and very stable running 60steady fps almost every where on high /ultra setting and my pc isnt that high end. Also zones are realy packed in ffxiv since they let players run back to low lvl zones alot so it feels busy Always for me which i realy like. About the gold spam i mostly get 1 friend request a week from goldsellers and outside that nothing no /tells etc .
So just take tell's outta chat. Or the sound. Thats what I did. Set ypu TELL's in a different chat with no sound. Check often if your up in PF, etc.
BTW Heavensward has areas that are 10x larger and more open then any area in the original release. You will also be able to jump off cliffs and fly over AND on the water.

If Gil/Gold Spamming is what is keeping you from playing FFXIV then you should not play any MMO. FFXIV does have bad Gil sellers, however its not as bad as ArcheAge was I would get many in game mails plus endless tells and chat was flooded with it. in WOW i got endless amounts of in game mail about buying gold. It does not matter which MMO you play, gold/gil selling is bad however if that keeps you from playing an MMO then your the problem not the gil/gold spammers.
It's a reasonable expectation to have Gold spam kept to a minimum, or even eliminated entirely. Other games have done it. One very recent example for me was Elder Scrolls Online. Played that for several months straight - never a single gold spam, personal mail.. nothing. Literally. No exaggeration. I don't know how Zeni figured out how to do it, but they did it. And yes, there were plenty of people playing, so no one bother with the "because no one plays ESO dur hur" crap.
There are other MMOs I've played with little or no gold spam.
Yet, when I played FFXIV I got a Gold Spam PM every 5-10 minutes.
So, clearly there is a way to either eliminate, or at least greatly mitigate it. Years back, I'd have said "well, yeah, gold spammers will always find a way to get their message across". These days, I'm not so quick to concede that - because I've seen MMOs - popular MMOs - eliminate it altogether.
It's no longer a matter of of "they can't do it". It's a matter of "they aren't doing it", or "they won't do it".
Because it can be done, and has been done. There's no longer an excuse.
Honestly, and this goes for fans of all MMOs, because it happens in the forums for every one of them. If someone is saying "man, the gold spam in this game is really atrocious. I wish the developers could stop it. I'm tired of having to try and block these people"... what is it with the apologist "I MUST DEFEND MY MMO!" nonsense some people spew out in response?
Gold/RMT spam is not an intended part of the game. It neither deserves, nor requires anyone's defending of it. Unless you actively buy (or sell) in-game money yourself, and have a personal interest in defending it and keeping it around, it seems to me the only logical response to "I wish they could get rid of the gold spam" is "yeah, no kidding. I wish they could, too".
Are people so emotionally wrapped up in their MMO, that they can't even separate having a "good game" from "bad things happening in a good game"? Can they really not understand that liking a game, and pointing out things that it could/should really improve on - such as eliminating or more aggressively squelching RMT spam - are not mutually exclusive? Do they really not realize that by saying "Yeah, they really should find a better way to get rid of these spammers" isn't, in any way degrading or bashing their game? You're not hating on the game. You're seeking a way to make the experience even better for everyone.
When a person responds to complaints of gold spam by saying "just turn off PMs", I just have to shake my head. What you're basically saying is: "I can't allow you to say something critical about my favorite game, or its developer. They're doing just fine, the game is great, and you have to stop expecting them to create a better, spam-free experience. You just have to sacrifice and downgrade your own experience instead".
Another common response is something like, "well I don't see it that much, so I think you're full of it". That's also ridiculous, and amazingly short-sighted. Your personal experience does not dictate someone else's. If you personally are not seeing RMT spam, or aren't bothered by it... good for you! Clearly the complaint doesn't apply to you. But then, it also begs the question why you care? If you're not affected by it, then, it seems to me, you have no dog in the race.. So why are you trying to shut others up? Afraid people might think "your game" is less than "perfect"?
For those who would, and have, say "well it doesn't affect/bother me", I have one word for you: Empathy.
The kind of mentality it takes for someone to tell another person to, basically, "suck it up and deal with it" over something that isn't an intended part of the experience and shouldn't be there is just mind-boggling to me. I don't know what you'd call it, but I think it goes beyond white-knighting.
