After June 11, 2015, new European and Russian players will not be able to download TERA via Steam or be able to add TERA to their Steam list. Players in these regions who have previously downloaded and played TERA via Steam will continue to be able to do so as the move only affects new players.
The lock comes at the behest of publishers in the affected regions.
The situation is truly unfortunate as we feel it denies a specific segment of players from enjoying TERA on the Steam platform, while also restricting the growth and success of TERA as a global brand. We sincerely apologize to those players who will be denied access to playing TERA through Steam in the future as a result of this unfortunate turn of events.
While En Masse Entertainment is the official North American publisher of TERA, we also support regions outside of North America because we feel it empowers players to make their own decision as to what service they choose to play TERA on, regardless of their location.
En Masse Entertainment has indicated that a separate desktop version of TERA can be downloaded directly from the NA site that will allow and support both EU and RU players.

I'm speechless i think the conversation that brought about all this went something like this .
GameForge: " Enmasse are taking all of our Eu players off us IT'S NOT FAIR ( Spits out DUMMY ) "
I really do wish Tera Eu would close its doors Game Forge really don't deserve the game.
I knew something close like this going happen, it's just going to happen when there more then 1 game from other companies that are running the game.
It may not stop here.
soo...they removed IP block.... to add region lock, yay
me confused
I swapped to the Enmasse client because the Gamforge one never updates properly, even after all this time they still have a manifest bug which means after each patch I have to mess around in the game folder to fix it.
Glad Tera is in my Steam library as I wont be going back to the EU client.
