This week, Jason examines why Heart of Thorns taking a long time to come out isn't such a bad thing, in the long-term.

^ It's pretty negative, but for the most part I agree. I enjoy the game from time to time and even if it takes another year to release that's fine. There was no need for this apologist article.

How did a personal hard drive formatting blow away your ANet account? Do tell.

judging by the broken stream today it seems there will be quite alot of support with the trait rework.. both engineers and elementalist seem to be able to go full on heal mode. looking forward to seeing the rest of the changes to the professions they did'nt have time to show due to twitch breaking down.
I had fun once, it was terrible.
I don't want people suffering to bring a game out but as often its the staff at the bottom end that suffer for bad decisions at the top. In this case Anet abandoned their living story and frequent feature updates to bring out what they call an expansion which by the time it comes out and then new content after that it will just be a little more than the previous Living Story seasons but one season and a bit in one go.
I find the new zones quite boring because they are tight packed smaller zones based around so many repetitive mini games and battle zones where often the zerg mentality seemed to rule last i played them. anyway Im playing ESO now so I dont know if Ill be getting HoT or not. Plenty to do in ESO but unfortunately the guild seems to be socially end game only.
Excellent. Thanks.

Actually they did mention somewhat of making some support builds more viable. I didn't watch the whole hour and some odd long stream they had earlier.. only the first thirty minutes, but from what they said about the changes, some classes do have more viable options to aid others. The changes to the ele water traits is just one of them.
But on top of that they did mention some other options with the new specializations like the new shield abilities and buffs the mesmer has. While you're not going to be a true blue full on support, (though you could technically if you wanted) yet again the viability really only has a major effect in PvP and dungeon groups, but I think we'll still be swinging mostly to DPS and Conditions and survivability more than anything else.
In my mind, what matters is the expansion is good, and that the base game is good. Content drought is better than getting a half baked expansion. That will hurt the game forever.
They can do different things. Maybe add a few world bosses, put in some LS Season 1 content in fractals of the mist, bring brack SAB, maybe do another prelude in other zones to HoT with more long-term armor collections like in Silverwaste.
Entitlement entitlement entitlement. Excuse me what were you saying?
Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play?
