SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

As part of the E3 Humble Bundle, fans and interested folks can grab a copy of WildStar by naming a price of at least $1 that will also include 30 days of subscription time.

Here are of the details:

  • All of the proceeds that would normally go to NCSOFT, go to the ESA Foundation dedicated to supporting positive programs and opportunities that make a difference in the lives of America's youth.

  • Game keys for both North America and Europe are available. 30-days of game time is included with your purchase.

  • The keys are not stackable and codes cannot be used on existing accounts.

  • All keys are region-restricted. Please make sure you buy for the appropriate region.

  • Keys expire on December 31st, 2015.

Want to take part? Check out the E3 Humble Bundle and WildStar.

That's a great deal! I just picked up a copy, at the least it will give a preferred status before the game goes FTP.

I sat there with my card out for a minute and thought about it.  Still said no in the end.  Sorry WildStar -- not worth my $1.

It is too confusing. You click the link you go to a site but when you click the WS game, you can see an icon of a key,i assume game key but there is no link to pay for it.Ok after trying a few times ,i assume you dbl click the small key icon, way too cumbersome to figure that out, they should make it bold and easy to see.

As is all i see is some very small blue line that is beside the very small key icon when i dbl click the key,it is not  plain/obvious enough to just enter a money value and not be sure you know what you are getting.

I'll just wait for F2P.  I'm not likely to sub anyway and would only want to try out leveling.

According to the official forums there is alot of failure on Carbine's side, misinformation and other nonsense going on about these keys.

I would wait until all this weird stuff gets sorted out.

Top of the page, big green button says "pay what you want". You're buying all the things you see below. The key lets you mouseover and see what's included...

Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.

Had the proceeds been going to something like a REAL charity, I would have considered this. Cancer research, disaster relief, aid to starving third world babies, puppies with foot fungus, sure, I am in. But ESA?

  • VolgoreVolgore Member EpicPosts: 3,872

While my original plan was to wait before i buy until the issues are sorted, i got a free key and just applied it right away -everything worked.

Game is still fun, but i have to enjoy it in short bursts. For a reason i miss the relaxing part i like about other mmorpgs...and this is not because of the action combat. The overall "urgency everywhere" gives WS a seemingly fast pace and i constantly get the feeling of being rushed. While in other mmorpgs i usually take a slow approach, wander around and smell the flowers, i feel like i'm always in a hurry in Wildstar.

Beware! The Wildstar code is only for the game box. You're still required to purchase a subscription. I wish I knew that before buying the humble bundle. At least I didn't pay much and it's still going to charity. It's too bad I can't actually use it though.

Just subscribe and then unsubscribe for the 30 day trial

I entered the code and when it started asking me for subscription info, I just closed the page. When I opened up my account page, it said my account was active until July 15th and had no subscription. I can log in and play just fine.

What ass wipes. This should be posted as warning.

You basically pay for nothing since you have to pay for subscription to play it. And purchased box worths nothing since the game is going F2P in a month

Just subscribe and then unsubscribe for the 30 day trial

I seem to be unable to find the unsubscribe button in the account management area.

This is correct. I almost fell for it as well, but I checked to see if I had game time credited to me before entering any payment information.

    THIS IS NOT CORRECT!

The codes given in the Humble Bundle, are for new accounts, both for US or EU, and they have 30 days free game time!

The screen you see after using the code, is a complementary screen to ask you if you want to sub, BUT YOU CAN CLOSE THAT WINDOW, relog and the game will be fine without any subscription.

Don't be so quick to come to wrong conclusions, specially when they already discussed this issue in their FAQ.

Again... you do not need to fill out ANY credit card or subscription information. Just close that browser window and relog as normal.

If you are a Star Wars fan, why not try the Star Wars The Old Republic?
New players can get a welcome package and old/returning players can also get a welcome back package and 7 days free subscription time! Just click here to use my referral invitation

How's the NA population? I mean, I'm already in the EU WS, but on the page it says the keys are for both region, so I wouldn't mind spend 1 buck for getting an NA account as well :)

(not that I'd be so eager to play WS, wasn't in there since launch, but it'd be nice to check around, see the updates and stuff... and since the keys are only for new accounts, why not try the western side of the pond this time, right? lol)

Just pay the 6 dollars to get payday 2 and the rest is just bonus. (wildstar and 7 day booster for warframe for $1, awesome deal)

If you like Wildstar or not, if donating $1 is your concern your internet time should be spent on getting a job or at least searching your family's furniture for loose change.

But you can get it for a buck (I did).  You will get 30 free days, and with it loyalty points and the ability to get CREDD for extra time and points.

Since when is Tuesday a direction?
