Everquest 2 Timelocked Progression Servers - PVP

Overland PvP is coming back to Norrath and Daybreak seems to be doing what they can to give the players what they want.  The faq above is a great start.

 

There was something visceral and great in the launch of the initial pvp server the most popular being Nagafen.  Game updates over the years  killed open world pvp.  They hope to remedy that here.

 

EQ2 is a pve game at the core.  PvP is just a layer on top.  The interwining of PvE and PvP is what made it great.

 

If open world, incidental, non-consensual, pvp that intertwines with pve is appealing then you ought to give this a shot.

    Nice that DBG finally ads EQ2 progression servers. Only down side is that those are sub only and that's holding me back a bit because EQ2 isn't the best MMO out there...

    Original EQ2 is remembered differently depending on who you hear from. I enjoyed it much more before it tried to compete with WoW by copying from it. Wowification has killed modern mmo's. At least this will be a throwback to a time before those changes.
