Beyond surprised this wasn't already launched.

That picture is a perfect example of how not to get people to try your game

I have played it,that picture pretty much sums it up.My VERY long time experience in gaming, says you can usually judge a book by it's cover even though i still don't because there is the odd occasion you get surprised.

Trion went for a cheap build, a game they could easily make and operate,it is not a triple A product. That doesn't mean some people won't enjoy it,i see tons of games out there i wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, yet people support them.

The fact is people make choices for all kinds of different reasons, quite often out of boredom or simplicity or cost. This is why we can never judge a game on a whole, only to the individual,it is like people tossing out garbage, then someone else comes along and thinks it is treasure.

I tend to judge games AND support them based on what i feel is EFFORT.If i feel the effort is far below what the developer was capable of,i scoff at it.I judge it the same way a employer would judge his employees, they don't want to pay a worker for a half ass effort , well neither do i.

This I don't agree with.  Well, they went for a cheap build because they don't have many resources, but thats not what would make me not even interested in trying a game.

Its the style here that, to me, is hideous.  And Im sure it is unappealing to more than just me.  Trove has always had a hideous color palette (again, to me) in posted screen shots.  And floating horsedogthings with cotton candy feet just doesnt appeal to me.

I was going to write my positive opinion about this game but tbh I'm not even gonna bother because every freaking thread that anyone says anything slightly off about Trion you feel the need to do what you do.

TBH I'm surprised that Trion hasn't contacted you yet because it is really tiring to see and I'm sure has prevented a few people on this site from trying their games.

You're not the only person who likes their games and as someone who LOVES Trove I'm asking you for the good of TRION and their cash shops PLEASE PLEASE give it a rest.

I tried the game and thought it was very bad. Maybe some players like it but it was not for me.

    Dear Trove devs.

Thank you for this wonderful event. I shall have plenty of fun logging on at 6.15 AM local time before work to grab the rewards. Then proceed to log off and head to work.

I think Trove has a great nostalgic style mixed with the mine craft style and design. I like the controls and interfaces, etc. I don't play the game mostly because of the lack of difficulty and challenge and the building element doesn't hit for me. The game is very social, and it's still a good time to log in for a short time to have a quick run-about with friends. A think Trion is pushing out a little gem of a game, even if it isn't perfect for me.

In how much trove change on getting better and better, even if it's f2p meaning no one need to spend money to buy stuff to just play so there doing well for them self, and as for me can't wait to see a year from now in how much more trove will change.

But I know people don't like the trion name but it's like EA people will forget on the mess with arche age got started for trion.

I couldn't get into the game being that it basically consisted (PvE wise) of logging in and doing a daily that takes 30 minutes max and then left you with nothing to do unless you want to wander aimlessly.

Unfortunately I think this ended up killing cube world, which I was much more interested in.  As they say though "that's the way the cookie crumbles".  Market competition is a mother lol.
