Just a video of a raid boss we killed yesterday. While we were preparing for the raid it hit me that this is something that recent mmos no longer have. Most now are instanced which to me is just not the same. I am really enjoying Aion.
I just rejoined Aion again after being gone for at least a year. Even considering spending money on the divine pack(monthly sub). Though not sure how all the items it gives works in terms of per character or simply 1 per account. The site doesn't actually specify on everything, just some things. I really did miss how aesthetically pleasing the game is and the gameplay. It would probably be doing a lot better if they actually put more resources into getting rid of hackers and bots. It's really out of control and allowing hacking the way they do is a great way to kill a pvp oriented game. I also wish they would give us a classic server(1.5-1.9ish). I am really not as into the current end game and constant level increases turn me off. I miss how the game was when the game had rifting(with level limits) and abyss raiding. Back when flight was an actual mechanic rather than just a gliding gimmick that it is now. The power creep between the geared and less geared characters seems to have only gotten worse with the level cap increases and additions of new gear tiers. I would even join a private server that had that if it actually had any population. I would settle for a hundred players.
Still, me and the woman are trying to get our footing back. So far so good.

When Aion came out I think I played for a couple weeks and quit because it was not like Lineage 2 and back then I compared everything to Lineage 2. Aion to me is fresh and new so anything that use to be I don't know about. Truly free with a steady flow of free content updates, great cash shop, great graphics, best housing system of any mmo on the market, plenty of content, open world pvp and a social comminuty that likes to group. All I know is that its offering everything I want from a mmo. I just wish I would have come back to the game years ago.
