raiding- by far one if not the best in current mmos. GA has been a fun rollercoaster and DS has begun to be a huge challenge!
dailies- they nicely reinvented it with contracts (been done in other games) but nice to see it done conviniently with nice rewards.
solo content- they have alot of nice solo content -doin veteran modes with shiphands and contracts are the way togo in wildstar.
There are enough casual guilds around that don't need you to log in every day for 4 hours and that are more than happy to help with running adventures (well, except Malgrave, no one likes Malgrave) and dungeons.
The LFG tool can be capricious, and the groups you join vary in the friendliness. For a first timer, it will be a better experience if you put your group together yourself via chat, or use a guild group.
Also, Spellslinger, ewww!!
Imho WS is the most improved mmo for the last year. New content additions like Zones, Raids, Dungeons, Adventures, Shiphands, World Bosses, Events etc. New Features like Contracts, D3 like Wardrobe, Pets & Toys, tutorial instances, vet shiphands etc and changes / fixes to attunement, raid sizes, pvp, warplots, questing, ark tutorial skipping, streamlined zone xp, itemizations etc made WS one of the best themeparks in the market.
Considering that with next patch arriving housing communities, new dungeon, new arena, new char creation options etc will make WS even better.

I took advantage of the E3 Humble Bundle offer since I hadn't played the game since one of the promo-betas. Combat is more fun than I remember - my guess this is more class dependent then previously thought. I remember running around as an Esper in the beta and just didn't like it. I am finding the Spell Slinger to be much more fun.
Not too far into the progression, but I would say this game is in the same boat as FF14 for me. For the most part, it doesn't do anything that dramatically different than what we've seen before. However, if you can appreciate the look and feel, the art style, the writing, and presentation there is plenty of character to love in WildStar. Where FF14 delivers in FF nostalgia, spit and polish - WildStar brings a fun, quirky, beautiful world to the table.
WildStar clearly wasn't some half-arsed attempt to capitalize on the MMO market - there really is a lot of love in the game - so I hope F2P brings some players and revenue that the game and Carbine deserve.
Just two things stopping a test return situation.
1) Has the performance got better/optimizations.
2) Has the cheating scumsacks been removed from the game with a proper fix in place for the additional issues of mining node teleport tossers.
I loved the leveling experience before they "improved" it, same with the combat and the the other character progression systems they dumbed down.
The problem was the endgame was boring as hell. A couple more daily quest hubs doesn't sound like it solves much. It sure didn't do much for WoW's endgame in MoP.
Contract system just sounds like a repetitive grind mechanic.
They need more dynamic events happening out in the world in different zones etc... Not go kill x number of y, quests that do little more than change the x and y variables.
He that lives upon Hope dies farting.
To answer a few of the questions I saw here.
No, there are no more teleporting botters and such.
Yes, game optimization has improved greatly
@thread, Wildstar is currently the best themepark mmorpg on the market
Hodor!

Wildstar is a really good game, challenging dungeons too Im having a great time with it.
Allso found a nice guild which is getting new people now every day. I think it will do okay with F2P
the devs did also an amazing job with the open world, much to explore and fun jump puzzles.
The performance for me is really good, don´t know if it was bad at launch because I´m new in WS. Everything is smooth and I get zero lag, compared to my SWTOR experience it´s a revelation and feels technically much more advanced.
I give this game 9/10 - some stuff like rune upgrading equipment seems a bit complicated and minor things annoy me, like there is no sell junk button, with little QOL improvements I´d rate it 10/10
