Every year, we can expect to find some pretty cool things showcased at E3. Popular video game titles, indie titles, new tech in both hardware and software, VR updates, and of course breaking news for PC, consoles, and mobile games. However, this year, we also stumbled upon something we didn’t quite expect, and that was the team running Unikrn.

Don't like gambling at all,it is a disease.
I want gaming to remain a fun activity, not something we hear about in the news how some kid stole his mom's credit card and spent 10k on a game.
At one time we didn't even want casinos in Canada, now it is creeping into video gaming, not cool. This might be a UK thing, but i am sure it will be all over the place soon enough. No way should governments allow it,knowing gaming is a past time for kids.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.
FFS the last thing the gaming world needs is gambling on results with real money...
100% DANGEROUS idea....
Cant have it both ways.
People argue that gaming should be a form of media for all ages because adults want more mature themes or more graphical violence ie gta.
You just cant turn around and say, "Gaming is a past time for kids" and still want mature adult content in genre.
Although i do agree with you about gambling and it does not fit right with me having it in gaming but we kinda dug that hole didn't we?

What I can see is the
Pros:
We will have an established platform for serious gaming leagues supporting several games and teams playing those games. It will also in the long run turn e-sports into a more widespread and accepted form of entertainment. It will strengthen the e-sport as a whole and we will see more serious leagues created and maintained by larger media companies already established covering traditional athletic sports in media like TV and newspapers. So we might get dedicated TV e-sport coverage on many of the major networks. This will in effect create a worldwide network for organizers creating e-sport events and a general standard for all organizers set by international rules(well in theory it will require a book of regulations to follow for all e-sport organizers to get accepted as a partnered organizer of e-sport events and leagues).
Cons:
We might see a lot of people get stuck in destructive gambling habits, but that is already a problem today and it is something that will always be there.
Matchfixing and illegal betting done behind the scenes.
Big e-sport events and leagues get put behind paywalls and you need to pay to view. I know this is already happening and I just think it will be a more common thing in the future.
And there is so much more that could be added here. I will leave it as it is now.
