"Feel safe with your fully-patched computer? If you use Flash and land on the wrong website, you may get a virus or even a cryptolocker that renders your machine unusable. That's because a sophisticated "zero-day" exploit stolen from Hacking Team has now been released into the wild. As a reminder, Hacking Team is the infamous outfit that supplies US law enforcement and various governments around the world with digital spying tools. However, the company suffered an embarrassing attack on its own servers, and among the 400GB of data stolen were some nasty tools originally intended for use by agencies like the US Drug Enforcement Agency."

It would be better if you didn't always make your posts sound like the end of the world was coming.
Flash gets exploited on a regular base.
Or go one better and just run your browser in a sandbox

Or you could use a browser that won't run Flash unless you explicitly tell it to.
Really, though, executable code in web browsers that runs on its own just by virtue of visiting the site is going to be a security hole for as long as web browsers run executable code that way, which will probably be for as long as web browsers exist. Everything else is just details.
It wasn't hacked, you can bet it was someone on the inside, money can buy anything now a days.
Further more several other thoughts come to mind. Can we trust government...period?NOPE.
Is there possibly some other agenda, with government anything is possible. How about put some scare tactic out there so they can have an excuse to further monitor our internet? It worked for terrorism right, now they can do whatever they want and just claim probable cause. They already have everyone monitored on Facebook you can bet a lot more than that as well.
I just had a phone call last night from some government survey and i said to the lady,i can save yours and mine time,i hate them all and trust none of them.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
