Neverwinter: Strongholds Module to Launch August 11th

Cryptic Studios has announced that the forthcoming Strongholds module for Neverwinter will launch on August 11th. Strongholds is the largest playable map in the game and in its first iteration, the focus will be on PvE. Later, guilds will be able to wrest control of locations within the zone to build fortresses and will be able to engage in GvG warfare starting in September.

Strongholds empowers guilds to reclaim a keep and its surrounding wilderness areas from monsters. As the lands are cleared, guilds will build defenses both in and around their strongholds using structures like archer towers to fend off attackers, while building siege structures to increase their ability to wage war against enemy guilds. Once the keep has been secured, guilds will work to solidify their foothold along the ranges of the Sword Coast.

Read all about Strongholds, including several developer diaries, on the Neverwinter site.

I like this game call me weird. I still have fun playing it from time to time. Neverwinter and Tera are the 2 F2P games I still play once in awhile.

I quit NW as #1 go to game when they upped the level cap to 70. In so doing they castrated my GWF that i'v played since beta. I unlocked everything up to and including dread Ring. Was working Rise of Tiamat then everything changed. Good going Arc,you figured out a way to loss players.

Pretty much why I stopped playing it was just as devistating to me as the requirement in WoW to have a Tier 3 Garrison just to see Tanaan Jungle. It's one thing to add new content it's entirely another to have a gear treadmill endlessly with new requirements just to play with your friends. That's how you cut people out.
