that like to come over to the eq2 forums and use the 5 million sub line.
enough with the numbers and how big wow is bc really no one is taking into consideration that. wow is open to a pretty big market. all of asia, america, and eu. also its playable on apple/pc and if u really think about 5 million subs. thats not alot for how open up they are to the market. plus they havent put out any more news on how big wow is getting. maybe bc they are lossing players??? so plz stop using that line every time someone says the game sucks and brings up a good point to why the game sucks.

Not too long it was 1 million subs, then 3, now 5... they are limiting creation of new characters... and as far as i hear now even more servers have queues... I dunno, but personally this all sounds like a constant growth. I cant verify the queue part becuase I left WoW 2 months ago, but my friend who still plays WoW says that his server (used to be no queues) has queues now from time to time (server Skywall).
Anyway, regardless of yours or mine opinions, your post will not discourage other peoples to flame EQ2 (or other games) forums, but on the contrary, it will add up to the flame war. WoW has 5x to 10x larger playerbase, so it should be expected 5x to 10x times more flames from WoW fanbois.

same thing here...Shadow Council never had any waits...but now on the weekends I will have to wait to play.
My brother plays on Argent Dawn...all i have to say about that, is wow. He can have upwards of 400 people in line to get on...sometimes waiting over 30 minutes.
It's all perception. Even of WoW is not better, more people perceive that it is better - thanks to lots of money spent in marketing. WoW is just marketed better, and Blizz has more money to throw out for the purpose of promoting the game worldwide.
Arnold Schwarzeneggar isn't the best governor California ever had. However, people remember his movies and he has a lot of money to throw out. As a result, he got elected. It's the way life is.
WoW is fun... in limited doses... EQ2 lasts a bit longer... neither are gonna hold me in the long run... sadly... I'm just hoping EQ2 will be fun until Vanguard comes out
Another thing that should be taken into consideration is that Blizzard has enormously lots of "fans", people who has been with the company ever since their first releases, and has been playing all their games, SC, WC3, Diablo etc. and many of these people swear to Blizzard as the best game producer, which results in that a LOT of people is playing. I mean who hasn't been playing Warcraft in here or Diablo? Almost none I'd guess, and I believe this huge crowd was all catched pretty fast by the WoW hype that Blizzard created, and I think that helped Blizzard getting so many players.
To whom ever mentioned that us WoW players didn't have any good arguments for why WoW is the better, except the player count, I'd say WoW has quite a lot of good aspects. It's newbie friendly, that appeal to many players I'd say, it was one of the first games to have a real working quest aspect, it has an overall really nice gameplay, personally I love the playstyle of the game which isn't found in that many other games... Just to mention a few good aspects of the game, I could add a ton of stuff, but this was just some of it. Personally I haven't tried EQ2, but I'm planning to, so I can figure out by myself which is the better game, atm. though I'm afraid that WoW is the better game, I've tried so many other games SWG, DAoC, Linage 2, SoR etc. etc. and none of them is close to be as good as WoW imo.

Yeah Im a big blizz fan as they make very good games. However when WOW was anounced , I didnt think I would play it. The graphics looked cartoony for one and EQ 2's graphics looked pretty sweet not to mention they did a good job with EQ.
I went to EQ first as did all my guildies when we jumped off the Lineage 2 ship of suckage. After about a month of EQ and being ranked in the top 20 for my class on the server, I quit. The gameplay wasnt bad at the time, I did find myself hating what I thought was going to be good graphics though. They werent bad.....but I didnt like them. After leaving , I went without a game for the first time...almost 3 months in fact.
Then I picked up WOW, had even stress tested it in beta and liked it. I figured if I liked it then, I would probably still like it. So I got it and Im still playing it today. Ive gone through UO, E&B, SWG , COH , Lineage 2 , Planetside, Eve , and EQ2. None of those games held me for as long as WOW has and yet it is missing so many things that the other games had and I felt were great.
Much to my suprise, I visited my old guild site last summer and found teh whole guild had moved on to WOW shortly after I had. So I moved to the same server and everything is good again. That beign said, I dont know why EQ players have to keep makign excuses on how there game IS teh best............people just havent tried it. A lot of people have tried it and didnt like it A lot of people have tried it and stayed..............just like WOW, it is neither the best nor does it suck. Its just a different game suiting different tastes.

They should be....not necessarily little violence. But most violent games should be unless a parent vouches for you to buy them. Of course thats what the ratings sytem is for. So not really sure what he was trying to do.
