Auto Training Help Plz

Could someone maybe explain to me how auto training works.  Right now I am a ranger and I know that they auto train the bow.  Well I want to max out my bow eventually but I also want to use my auto training points and not waist any skill points on bow that I dont have to.  Could I get a little help please?

What I know about auto-training.  You will have certain skills automatically increase as you level up without having to spend skill pts.  I think it is possible to auto train approximately 10 skill levels if you let this happen all the way to level 45 (last auto-training level).  The problem is leveling while a toon's primary skill, such as bow, remains at the low levels that auto-training grants while not spending skill pts on the skill.  If you spend skill pts. to increase the skill, you lose the ability to auto-train that level of skill.  Auto-training forces skills to increase only if the toon reaches a character level without the skill having increased in-step.  Easiest way to auto-train is to get power-leveled all the way up :)

Read the sticky FAQ up top. Auto training is detailed at the end of that list. .

But let me put it this way, it is a huge mistake for a ranger to auto-train. In order to auto train you cannot train that skill. Hence you will need to make it to level 50 and you will then have only 12 in bow. You will make it extrmely hard to do PvE and RvR with such low bow skill. Of course at 50 you could then train your bow, but many people will be realm rank 3 or 4 by the time they are 50. Chances are without your bow being high, you will not have many realm points.

The amount of points you gain by auto-training are minimal and unless they changed how it works, when you voluntarily respec (which almost everyone does at RR5) you will loose that auto trained points anyway.

Autotraining : Rangers - Auto Train bow and nothing else you get this done by not spending any points in it. Just let it auto level.

Nightshades get the same thing yet they get it with stealth. That means you just level normally and then when you level you do not put any points into it. You allow it to level itself. This takes long and normally is a hard route.

Nothing really to explain unless your looking at the number of diffrent levels.
