My moment was in Diablo 2:

During the early days, my ultimate goal was to earn a "Stone Ring of Jordan". After months of playing, I finally had equipment that was good enough to trade for one.

During a "tradez" game, I met someone who was willing to give the SoJ ring for my equipment. Our trade screens were up...   my side was completely full of my hard-earned gear, whereas his side had nothing but this single tiny ring.

Just before we commit to the trade, he swapped the SoJ ring with some shitty blue ring that apparently had the same aesthetic design. He instantly left the game, put me on ignore, and logged off.

No. There is enough negativity around here.

The day I found out my friend and guild leader was a convicted child rapist, that was not suppose to have access to kids even online and we had lots of kids in our guild.

I had been helping the guy financially with the guildsite and teamspeak and he was asking me to donate money to his webcast site so I went on linkdin to just be sure it was legit before tossing $200 at him soon as I googled his name like 15 pages of child abuse alerts popped up.

Let me tell you that was a real bad time for me.

I don't do well with people.  Was in a freakin' awesome guild with people who were friendly and polite (tell me that's not rare), and the GMs girlfriend had to rip it apart because she wasn't getting enough attention.

    Not reaaly anger.  Just sad.

On a cold winters night in 2007 I had a knock at the door, it was just past 3:00 am. I opened the door to find an RCMP (police) officer at my door. The officer asked in a very stern voice if "insert my name" was present, I told him that was me. The officer then proceeded to tell me that they had been contacted by U.S. authorities about a bomb threat. I replied  ???? BOMB THREAT ????  The officer then mentioned World of Warcraft

I then invited the officer into my home and woke my two older boys aged 13 and 15 who each had accounts under my credit card. The officer then proceeded to question my two sons. My younger son then told the officer how earlier in the evening he and his WoW friends had chatted in general chat about making bombs to blow up GM island.

The officer had a good chuckle over this and then lectured both my boys about how they must be careful of everything they do and say on the internet.

I can only surmise that someone had seen the chat ingame and contacted U.S. authorities. Which in turn received my account info from Blizzard and contacted Canadian authorities.

I never received any kind of correspondence from Blizzard concerning the matter. I have no idea if they were ever aware of the matter, nothing ever came of it.

Luckily today my two older boys are all grown up and pay for their own WoW accounts in their own homes lol.

Sadly it was with the publisher and it was Frogster. They literally tried to rip me off a lot of money. When i tried to remain calm and just assume a mixup of some kind they ignored me for while ,then after that they sent some email that had absolutely nothing to do with my problem.

So i went to paypal and their policy is give them up to 30 days.So i waited about 20 and of course nothing,so i contacted Paypal and told them i did not wish to risk waiting until the 30 days was up and lose my chance at getting my money back.So they did refund my money because i guess they tried to contact Forgster as well and got the cold shoulder.

So from that day forward Frogster is known as the worst  most corrupt publisher on this planet. What makes it worse is that Froster did attain a bad reputation, yes imagine even worse than Smedley so they changed their name and now operate under the name Gameforge lmao, you can run but you can't hide.

They also imo run the worse cash shops in the industry, total greed and over the top a real clueless operation with more money than brains.

Thats funny, i played silk road for awhile and that trade/thief/hunter system was alot of fun back in the day.

But for me it was back in the early 2000s playing Asherons Call. I finally got my mage high enough to hunt Coral golems on aerlinthe island, only to go there and find it is totally camped by botters that where perched up ontop of some pillars where they couldnt be hit by the mobs. ( this was the best hunting spot in the game at the time )

I watched dozens of these guys up there all day every day running their macros, it was really the begining of the end for AC for alot of people because Turbine sat there and did nothing for way to long letting these guys exploit the game and ruin it for others.

I know they lost alot of subs durring that time period.

Got too many equals, all dealing with game devs destroying my favorite game at the time....

    Mythic-Daoc: ToA then New Frontiers.

Mythic-Warhammer Online: Crap release I forgave them for, but then the "Rat Patch" that ultimately was the beginning of the end.

    Trion/XL-Archeage: No explanation required.

THIS is the most angry I've ever been at the genre.

TL;DR, CCP mismanaged the World of Darkness team so severely that it resulted in the death of the World of Darkness MMORPG before it even had a chance to exist.

It would be started by a team, some middle manager would come along and tell them to change part of the game which necessitated rewriting the entire game engine.  That cycle continued over and over.  Not only that, but every single time that CCP was falling behind on the EVE development cycle, they would steal a lot of WoD manpower to help finish or fix the upcoming patch.

Then they cancelled the game and fired pretty much everyone at the Stone Mountain office.  Which really hit home because I grew up about 30 minutes from the Stone Mountain office.  I was a huge WoD fan for many years and I even visited the WoD offices a few times during college and talked about the game with it's creators.

In 2006, when I discovered that the creator of my favorite online game had purchased the creator of my favorite Pen & Paper RPG in order to make an MMORPG, I was overjoyed beyond belief.  I kept telling all of my gaming buddies how awesome this game was going to be.  Now that I'm a jaded bittervet I don't get even remotely as hyped about upcoming games anymore after this disaster.

They are video games, and I've never gotten made over one.  I can get frustrated, but that's about as high as I go.

Yup. I reserve anger for real life.

Yup. I reserve anger for real life.

My example is real life.  People who poured out mountains of effort and were genuinely good people working hard to create a good product were shit-canned because their management was incompetent.

This actually clarifies my angriest moment: When I realized people are people, even online. Admittedly, my anger was directed toward the usual petty crap of the usual petty people, nothing on the level you had to deal with. Still, it was a sad day.
