[Preview] Fallout 4: 6 Blood-soaked, Meaty Chunks of Info From QuakeCon

I was in attendance at QuakeCon in 2011 when Skyrim got its first major showing. I'm not the type to give in to hype, but I still remember being in awe of the majesty and grandeur of it all, and leaving the auditorium as excited as I could be for an upcoming game.

Have my Pip-boy edition locked in since the reveal. Now i am about tracking down the two previous CE´s just so i can have a complete set. =) I did miss out on the first one due to a retailer shafting a lot of it´s customers and the New Vegas one due to a lack of funds.

But they will all be mine. Oh yes...

This have been a good conversation

I have all the collector editions, EXCEPT from Fallout 4, because even though I checked the game sites nearly every day for  the collector's edition...the day of the reveal I was on vacation....

    Screwed over.

I am still too shocked by the royal fiasko that was the horrible Fallout 3 to get really excited about this game.

But I'll certainly try it. This time, at least, my expectations are zero, so by definition I won't be disappointed.

There's always gotta be ONE !

That's part of being human I suppose. Somewhere, there will always be someone that disagrees. You can usually find them here on MMORPG.COM though...

im on the fo4 hypetrain no doubt about it baby doll. I was at E3 here in los angeles and i was just blown away by it all. I cant wait, i never stopped playing NV and Fo3..(more nv hehe)

I pre-ordered for XB1 AND PC because im scared i wont be able to run FO4 on PC at first at least.. I know the PC version will be better simply because of mods I heard they may allow Console users to download pc mods later on but yea. just a rumor.

techies wanna look at my basic cpu stats here they are.. you think i can run Fo4 launch day? anyway yessss hypppeee

    PC:

    GPU: GTX 860M

    CPU: i7 2.6 GHZ

    8GB RAM

    Windows 8

    * i know specs arent out yet, just curious based off other modern games like da:i and witcher 3.. we can assume FO4 will be along the lines of these are far as specs i think? they did say it will be the same as next gen consoles on pc.. i had some issues running da:i before.

DA:I was a LOT less intensive than Witcher 3...I expect that if you can play witcher 3, you can probably play anything coming out this year, except for the recently pulled batman game.

Its not a rumor mods will be able to be used on concoles BUT iam sure there will be limitations.

You cant expect to run a console game with exactly same mods as in pc.

And yeah if you can run Witcher 3 you are good to go.

Games from Bethesda usually do not look like as flashy as some other games BUT you have tons of choices and this game will be no exception.

There is only one game and that game is Fallout 4! So say we all!

I never played any of the Fallout games until I saw that Fallout 4 was coming out.  I went over to Steam and picked up the Fallout 3 pack which had all of the DL contents along with the game for about $14.00.  I then started to play it but to be perfectly honest I preferred the ES games much more.  I do like the story lines in Fo3 but to me it seems a bit flat for some reason.  Did anyone else feel this way?  I do plan on playing all the Fo3 content I have and I am hoping that at some point the Pip-Boy-Bug will bite me and I will love this game as much as others seem to love it.  Currently I have just completed the "Purity" quest line... I think.... Tonight I will be heading back out into the wastes to see what is behind the next hill on the horizon.
