im strongly thinking of trying the game but before I download it I have some questions
Hows the pvp? is any pros or cons to losing or winning a fight?
is there any crafting? if so is it at all important?
is there any type of death penalty on chars?
is it true you cant play the class you want until you grind into it or something like that?
do you need to pay any cash to progress or can you pay nothing and do everything and it will just take longer?
Comments
Because of caps, paying makes you progress faster to the same limit. So you can play a bit less to make the same progress as others.
It's not strictly a grind to open up other classes because much of what you unlock will benefit all classes, and your progress still counts. The three starter classes are totally different too.
Unbalanced. The Pantheons is the big BGs coming that balance wont matter and has promise to be as good as any large scale PvP game out there. GW2, DAoC, ESO but for now its concept on paper we have not played. Really looking forward to seeing how well its done.
Nope and no plans for it
Nope, mess up as much as you like.
Yes. Start with 3 classes and very well done classes. It takes about 20hrs of game play to unlock a class if you B-Line your way there. Its not that big a deal and the entire time your playing any class, you are making every class you will or have unlocked more powerful.
You dont have to pay a cent but there is some advantages to paying. Monthly sub is a good deal, only $12.99 a month. Cash shop is not P2W as well. But some will say thats a lie but if you look into it, its harmless.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
Started a new account on Friday and capped out on colored and class sparks today with my credit cap fast approaching. This is in 4 or 5 six hour sessions.
Okki Tablets only drop once every two days so I'm fubared on making or upgrading chapels until tomorrow. Not high enough prestige to Enlighten an Adept so unless I grind the same dungeons over and over and over again hoping for a loot drop, I'm pretty much done until Wednesday.
PvP is horribly unbalanced with glitched classes normally dominating, especially Slayers. Not that you'll see another class besides a starter class for a week or so unless you fork out some cash. You'll get juuuust close enough to taste that new Archer or Necro, then hit your first sparks cap and have to wait for the gates to open on Wednesday. Enjoy the frustration.
If you've played Eve Online and your used to waiting forever for things, this game might interest you. Everything is capped and time gated so expect to hit the wall in a couple days and then wait until the following Wednesday when they release the locks. It's a decent game, unfortunately the devs decided to use a cap system from 2002.
Very poorly thought out IMO. Which is why it'll be semi-popular for a few months until a decent ungated game comes along, and then it'll fall into its niche for a couple years or so before they pull it.
There is so much wrong, misinforming and misleading in your post. I can't help but wonder if you're making it all up just to troll and be negative.
If you hit cap and are somehow too low prestige to enlighten an adept, you did something horribly wrong. I've never been killed by a slayer as a knight or paladin. So sick of whiny bitches complaining that "PvP is unbalanced" just because they hopped in their first ever PvP matches, didn't know how to play their class or role, and then bitch to the masses as if there's a problem.
I've seen one of every class already. You may be claiming to have just started over, that doesn't make it the first week for everyone else.
And besides, how is it a bad thing that it takes time to unlock a class? So much whining
