Vale RPG - A Refreshing Indie Game
Disclaimer: This is a browser based game, made & updated by 1-2 people. And it uses an energy system, although, it's an extremely loose "energy" system that most games use. You can play for hours straight if you buy potions (with gold, not premium currency, and regular monsters drop energy potions as well).
Hi. So I found this game on a random MMO site I was browsing, and I tried it out about 4 months ago. I wasn't too impressed honestly, and I stopped playing after about an hour. I decided to give it a shot again last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. They've changed the game a ton since I started, and made it easier/more straight forward to start out.
The best way to describe this game.. I'd probably say it's like Pokemon/Final Fantasy. There is a main story quest that you're following throughout the game, but it's mainly just grinding, getting new items, leveling up your pet, and your character, and advancing your characters class.
There are 6 classes, male & female variants. At a certain level you can upgrade your class, which gives you a cooler looking costume (currently being implemented, the character sprites are a placeholder currently), and extra stats & points to spend. When you or your pet level, you can spend points called AP to level a certain stat, nothing out of the ordinary, increase your damage & accuracy with Strength, HP with Stamina, ect.
There are different things to do in the game besides just exploring and doing the story quest/grinding. You can attack other players for EXP & gold, you can do pet vs pet battles, make a clan, try to get on the leaderboards, ect.
Anyways, if you're bored, this game is completely free, give it a shot and let them know what you think. The game isn't perfect, it's still fairly new, and it doesn't have a huge budget, so if you have suggestions/feedback, feel free to post it in the chat, or here, or on their forums, really anywhere. If you don't end up liking it, you can always check back in a month or so, and you can certain the game will have received a bunch of updates since you last played.

A big update was just released, compressing a lot of code making the game run a lot quicker/smoother. Also removed random ambushes from the game, so you don't end up wasting energy on low level monsters while running around.
Also, there will be a 2x XP event for 1 hour in about an hour and 40 minutes. (For the downtime during maintenance).
