Stealth is far too big for my little piece of internet real estate so I will have to cover it in a couple of articles. In this first piece I want to talk about the Archer and the Soul Walker. Both classes interest me but as an alt-a-holic almost all classes do in some way or another so that might not be saying a lot. Among my alts the archers, stealthers and jack-of-all classes tend to log a few more hours that the rest so the recent update from CSE about stealth was a big one.

    My wife and I are both looking forward Camelot Unchained . DaoC was the only game I could get her to play for more than two weeks. She put just over 7 and a half years in . She only plays single player RPGs now, but CU might just bring her back!

    I am very excited about the camouflage system and the archers. Now the soul walker [scout?] sounds intriguing but I am waffling on the idea of others responsible for my soul. It is almost like double jeopardy. My soul is in the lantern and out of my control while my body is in the "safe" woods somewhere else and vulnerable to enemy attack / capture. Since I can not play my vacated body or my soul in the lantern, what do I do? Go shopping? Basically I can not see any reason for the lantern other than a recharge station back in the safe area like a vampires coffin. Time will tell but the stealth variants are looking great so far.

    Incredibly interesting way to handle it. Its not overpowered one shot god mode. There seems to be checks and balances in place to make it utility on one side, and a real archer on the other that camo's not disappears in a second in front of your eyes.
