If this game wants to catch on like LoL they need to go a little less full retard on the maps. I don't want to learn 15 different maps on top of all the champions. Shorter fast paced games is good. Bunch of conditional PvE maps are bad.

The maps are great and add a whole other level of play making HOTS unique, that's the last reason as to why its not as popular.

They don't NEED to catch on like LoL because it's NOT LoL... I think it's good they have different maps / objectives + the different champions. It keeps the game fresh and new and always needing to learn something etc.. I got bored with LoL after about a year or so because it was the same damn map over n over again and champions really don't take that much to learn especially with the Try Hero. You can try and use ANY hero before you even buy it which is cool because in spare time you can go screw around with heroes you dont own so you know how they work at least. Heroes of the Storm in MY opinion is a WAY better game than LoL and it doesn't have a shitty toxic community because the game isn't really based on roles like Tank, ADC, Support etc.. Granted YES if you have a full team comp like that IN HoTS then it helps but it's not required. I don't think HoTS will ever be as big as LoL but that's fine it doesn't need to be. Blizzard is doing just fine with HarthStone & now HoTS + the new Starcraft 2 exp and WoW exp too. I'm perfectly fine having a smaller community as it keeps the shitty toxic players away and the elitist who think Heroes of the Storm is for the stupid who cant compete in Dota2 or LoL. :D.

If you're lazy and don't want to learn a new moba then don't. There is no items to learn, just maps and skill builds.

I think HOTS is very fun because of the variety of maps. I feel like it's easier to get bored of the same map over and over. I've played a good 300 hours of league and I definitely had times where I wished there was more maps for the main game type. Same with DOTA. ARAM and conquest don't really cut it since nobody really takes them seriously. In HOTS my main issue is, getting the people who don't want to learn each map type just sitting there and not playing objectives ever, even if we point it out to them. It's an instant loss each time pretty much.
